Under the moonlight
She said she felt the mood right

It was two am, and of course, I decided to leave packing until the last minute. Diego was back in his room; I assume asleep. I didn't know what would happen to Diego and I. I guess I would try to stay in LA with him until he felt a little better, but this all seemed to be happening so fast. It seemed like just yesterday I was blaring Lil Xan in my car with friends on the way to high school. I needed to clear my head and walked out onto my balcony, looking at the night sky and hearing the muffled sound of city noise down below. I saw a dark figure on the balcony next to mine. At first, I thought it was Omar, but realized it was much shorter than him.

"Hey," I yelled out. "What are you doing out here?"

"I don't know. I can't sleep," Diego said "Come over. The door is unlocked."

I left my room and opened his door slowly. Omar was sleeping peacefully. I saw Diego wave to me from the balcony, and I cautiously opened the sliding glass door. I walked over to him, putting my hands on the railing of the balcony. A few minutes passed by. The silence was comfortable with Diego and me, both lost in our own worlds.

"Doesn't it make you sad that you know the moon's name, but the moon doesn't know yours?" Diego murmured.

I smiled at him and put my head on his shoulder. "What are you on?" I laughed.

"You never know. The moon could know all of our names. Maybe it's purpose is to exist only for us," I said.

He lazily smiled at me. "You're going to stay with me in my apartment while you're here, right?" he asked.

I hesitated. "I don't know. I'll have to see, but you should definitely have someone taking care of you."

"Like you," he laughed.

I rolled my eyes. "You're making it very difficult for me to keep my distance from you."

"Do you want to?" he said.

I decided then was better than ever to tell the truth.

"No, not at all."

I could make out the smile on his face in the dim lighting.

"Then I won't stop," he said.

I put my hand on his chest and slowly slid it down to his waist and wrapped my arms around him. He put his forehead against mine.

"I think I'm falling in love with you," he said.

I could feel his breath against my face.

I just wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him because what else are you supposed to do when someone tells you they love you.

We kissed until we were both out of breath and our lips were bruised.

"Jump," he said.

I jumped up and wrapped legs around him and laughed as he carried me to his bathroom and shut the door behind us.

He pressed me against the door and began kissing me again. I pulled back.

"Omar is going to hear us!"

He shrugged.

I got out of Diego's grasp and walked over to the shower to turn it on.

Diego smirked.

"Oh, so that's where we're going?"

"Yeah, baby boy," I said.

We started laughing, both not knowing if what I said was supposed to be a joke or not.

We started to help each other strip out of our clothes until we were completely bare.

I pushed Diego into the shower and pinned up against the wall, while I kissed all over his face and neck. He groaned, as his hands traveled up and down my back.

Having sex with him this time was different. It was sweeter and not as intimidating. This time I could trust him. I knew this was I wanted.
