Call me in the mornin', tell me how last night went
I'm here, but don't count on me to
Stay a little longer if you convince me
And tell me all the things that you have against me

The last two days have been absolutely wild, and I wish I could say I feel bad, but I don't. I mean who knows how many girls Diego has fucked while I've been gone.

I was packing; Austin and I were about to leave. He was lounging on my bed gazing at me up and down; not even trying to hide it.

"Hey you sure don't want to.... one last time before we go?" he asked.

Ok maybe I should feel bad.

I laughed and shook my head.

"No...but it's been fun. For real."

He gave me a small smile and laid down on his back.

"I wished you lived in LA."

"I pretty much will be I bet for the next few weeks. I don't know anymore though. I could just stay in your house. It's big enough."

"Of course if you want, but I think it's for the best if we get a little distance after all this. You and Diego seriously need to work shit out."

I groaned.

"I know. I know." I sighed.

"Come here, Sofe."

I crawled on top of the bed, and he wrapped my arms around me.

"Ow," I said quietly and rolled my shoulder back.

"You ok?"

"I'm just sore."

"Jesus fuck."

"What?" I questioned.

"I feel like I defiled you," he laughed.

"Stop." I rolled my eyes.

I turned around to face him and put my hand up to his face.

He looked like he was about to something, but stopped.

"I know....It's going to be ok," I whispered.

The car ride back wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. We were still good friends, and nothing could change that.

Austin grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together while he had one hand on the wheel.

I gave him a small melancholy smile. As a way of saying we both knew this euphoria we had been living in would be ripped away soon.

He coughed on the smoke I breathed out. I laughed.

"Why do you need to get high right now? It's 11 am."

"I'm trying to calm my nerves, man. I'm not exactly looking forward to seeing Diego right now."

"Me either."

I texted Diego to ask if I should go to his apartment once I got to LA.

He said yes, acting like everything was fine.

I could feel my heart racing as I left Austin's car.

"Hey," Diego said not smiling when he opened the door.

I walked slowly behind him and dropped my bags on the wood floors.

"I missed you," he said still in a monotone voice.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"A little better I think."

I sat down. A few awkward seconds passed by.
