I discovered the death note,
A very long time ago,
A shinigami had loved me,
But I really didn't know.
I was a model,
And a famous one too,
I had a deep, dark secret,
But no one ever knew.
The world found out about Kira,
The monstrous killer,
I began to literally worship him,
Boy, he was a thriller.
I had shinigami eyes,
I had traded half my life,
I didn't care as long as
I was his future wife.
The first day I saw him,
He stood out from all the crowd,
I'll do anything for him,
That was the day I vowed.
He was young and handsome,
He was everything I ever wanted,
The more I got to know him,
The more my life got haunted.
He made me write names in the death note,
I would do anything for my love,
Vermin, people he hated and obstacles in his way,
All the things that he told me to dispose of.
This girl that he once loved in university,
She's famous too now,
She thought she still had him but
I would never break my vow.
She said I was childish,
But she just wanted him,
If it wasn't for Light I would've
Ripped her limb by limb.
But I didn't care as long as he loved me,
I didn't care as long as he was near,
But then he suddenly got shot and died.
Now he'll never again be here.
Everything moved in slow motion around me,
The sky was a grey and birds didn't sing,
I realised that to him, I wasn't his girl,
I was always his 'thing'.
I go to the top of the tall building,
Looking down at the distance below me,
I jump off it, waiting to be returned to him.
Death has approached me, and now I am free.
