Thanks for saying what you really thought,
Thanks for pretending you were my friend.
Thanks for backchatting about me because
You were really the enemy in the end.
I'm sorry if you thought I was rude,
I'm sorry I believed the disguise,
I'm sorry you don't understand me,
But there I was thinking we were allies.
I'll say thank you to your 'truth',
I'll say thank you to your confession,
I'll say thank you to your backchat,
About me faking depression.
I'll apologise for how I didn't behave,
I'll apologise to make you feel strong,
I'll apologise for how I thought
You were my 'friend' all along.
Yes, I'll thank you and I'll apologise,
But what I mean is actually goodbye,
You can say all you want because
Most of your words will be a lie.
I'm so tired of opening up to people,
Now I have boulders up to protect me,
I'm so relaxed without you,
So please let me be.
I'll apologise for how we have changed,
But I'll thank you for your time,
I'll apologise for closing up,
But thanks for acting like a mime.
