The next day in school Jess introduced me to Alex. I feel like me and Alex hit it off. Jess showed the pictures of the Flash vs Dr.Fluke battle. Which speaking of I was all over the news. My parents heard and called to ask if I was okay. They truly did not care because after I said yes, they 'had to go'. I don't even get why they had a kid. I honestly think that I was a mistake...

Anyway. Now my circle of friends has expanded from 0 to 2. And then from 2 to 4. 

Ah the fourth friend.

He drove me home ever since that day. It has now been a week since the Dr.Fluke attack. Things only seem to get worse...

I spent lunch again with Jess raving about how her pictures and interview were in the paper. And on TV. People bought up the whole 14 year old interviews Flash. 

"Jess we get it!" Heather groaned. "You have shown us the same paper for the past 3 days!"

"Because its so cool!" Jess said having a valid argument. It was pretty cool. 

"Anyway guys." Alex interrupted.

The day continued on. At the end of the day Ashton's car wasn't there so I walked home. Ashton pulled up to my side.

"Hey!"

"Ash!" I get in the car. "You were late..."

"Sorry." He said. "But I will make up for it."

"How?"

"I no longer have night shifts!"

"Cool!" I smiled. Even this man I meet less then ONE WEEK AGO! And he is still more of a family to me then my very own. 

Then car sped up. Whizzing past my house.  "Where are we going?"

"A ride!" He smiled.

OH MY GOD HE IS GONNA TRY TO KILL ME!

Stop it! 

I yelled at myself. 

"So um why...?"

"Cause its a nice day!"

"Oh. Um I think Yevett would want me home. I me-"

"Yevett told me to take you." He looked over and smiled. 

"Can we at least slow down?"

"I like things fast!" He smiled. 

"Oh....um." 

"Its legal."

"How do you know?" I smiled to myself.

"Its the back roads. Nobody uses these."

"So its not legal?" I laugh.

"Woah. I never said it was! But, I also never said it was illegal!" He laughed. I looked at him in disbelief. He wasn't wrong. We came screeching to a stop.

"What did we hit!?!"

"Nothing! Its a stop sign!"

"A wha-" I looked at the sign. "Well can we go at a legal speed?"

"Maybe!" At the speeds Ashton was going I thought that we were the fastest car. 

I was wrong...
