"It all started 1011 years ago. My father had met a beautiful mortal woman, my mother." Amara started. "She was the kindest person he had seen. Immortals, supernaturals, they weren't hidden back then like they are now but they certainly were not liked. Some humans were out to use them, exploit their powers for their own gain, or they were simply trying their damnest to kill them. Not my mother. She was one of the rare few that treated them as if they were no different. Needless to say my mother and father fell in love."

Kaia listened intently, she needed every last detail she could get.

"My mother was deathly ill though. When she became pregnant with me she took a turn for the worse. When she gave birth to me she did not survive." Amara continued. "My father could not handle the sorrow. He went to the shrines and he begged the gods to have mercy. To return her to him. They listened, gave him the power to restore life but there was a price for any life he restored. My mother was no longer a mortal, she had a power she did not know how to control. She did a lot of damage and my father needed to take her somewhere...somewhere she could be safe. He created this realm for that reason. He has helped a few people, those he watches, gets premonitions to guide him to those with pure hearts like my mother. He has now passed the power down to me and honestly I feel like I'm failing him."

Lucien now at Amara's side put his arm around her.

"You are far from failing Amara, you are doing your best and your best is all that can be asked for." He said.

Kaia looked at the two of them. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be here if she could be with these two. Despite the fact the Lucien had somehow been the beast he obviously was very kind at heart and she could that he hadn't meant any harm. She wondered what her new life had in store for her and what her power would bring her.

"Amara.....in my dream there was someone telling what to do that led me to knowing what my power would be. Do you think it may have been your father trying to help you?" Kaia asked.

"It is a possibility Kaia, it really is." Amara answered.

"So what happens now?" Kaia asked.

"There are many things that need to happen. First we need to figure out how to stop your power from taking effect so that you may actually be able to touch living things while we help you learn to control it. We can do this all the while trying to help Lucien with his." Amara explained. "Lucien has been here months trying to figure it out and we thought we had succeeded. I allowed him to journey to the human realm as the next step to his training and this is where I had the premonition of your involvement. That is why I was there and ready. It may take awhile but we will figure this out all together but first you need a space of your own, Kaia, that you can call your own."
