Lucien left to let Kaia rest. He went back to Amara.

"Don't you think it is a bit odd that Kaia is seeming to need so much rest?" Lucien asked. "I don't seem to remember needing this much rest when I came back."

"You're right, you didn't but it seems she has a lot more power then we may have thought. There has to be reason for all this and I may just have to give in and consult my father."

Amara feared consulting her father on something so mediocre but she could not think of anywhere else she could get the knowledge she needed. Let her father think she failed. She felt that true failure would be to continue letting Kaia suffer this exhaustion. They would not be able to get a grasp on her power if she always needed to sleep. This is what her definition of failure would be.

"I can remain here with Kaia." Lucien offered. "Not sure how much help I'll be to her but at least I can try.

"Even the smallest help is help." Amara said. "The gesture is what's appreciated."

With that Amara teleported out and to her fathers home.

To many 'home' would be intimidating for the man that lived within it. A man who was 6'5" and hadn't aged a day since he was in his 20's. A man who towered over his daughter but couldn't help but feel nothing except happiness at her appearance outside his door. A man they called Darius.

He knew why she was here. She needed his help with her, well actually he'd never come up with a name but perhaps protégée would work. Amara did not know that her father had been intervening already. He would not be able to offer more help than he'd already given. Amara needed to be able to this on her own. A long journey was ahead and she needed to prepare for all that was to come.

He reached out to open the door and welcome his daughter.

"Hello Amara." He said.

"Hello father." She responded.

"Would you like to come in?" He asked. "I know why you are here and I can tell you I can't be much help but you are still welcome in."

"Thank you father." Amara said. "Let's take a seat and what you can and can't help me with is fine."

They walked through the corridor to the center room. A large room with dark hardwood floors, two large red felt high back arm chairs on a circular carpet in front of a fire place. Amara sat in the one on the right and her father, the one on the left.

"You have come to ask me about this young Kaia." He said.

"Yes." Amara responded.

She never expected any less of him knowing exactly why she was here. He always just....knew.

"You want to know why she appears to need so much rest and why after she recites some sort of chant she fainted with a temperature of extreme levels." He said.

"Yes, father. It is concerning. This has never happened with your resurrected but mine....there is something going on here." Amara said.

"Dear daughter, I can answer half of your worries." He said.

"Half is better than nothing father." Amara said.

"I can not answer what the chant meant, but as for why her body reacted the way it did....it's a lot of power my dear Amara. She is newly resurrected, her body is trying to get used to that and then to have so much power coarse through it at once, it broke down. I'm sure in time the meaning and power of the chant will be revealed but first she must be stronger. She must also have trust in everything around her. It's been a short while just give her time." He said.

"I get this feeling there isn't a lot of time father. Lucien's beast seems to have broken past any sort of barriers we had on it for the human realm and we are back at square one with him." Amara said.

"Dear child, there is never a lot of time. We may be immortal but time is always a race to protect things and people we love. Just have patience child. Don't rush things." Darius said. "You just go. Kaia will awaken shortly, she will need you."

"Yes father." Amara said, standing.

She wouldn't hug her father. She never did unless he initiated as he wasn't one for hugs. She raised hand and teleported back to Kaia's side.

Lucien was startled by Amara's sudden reappearance. From the look on her face he guessed things had not gone as well as hoped.

"Amara." He said.

"Lucien, she will wake soon. We need to be patient." She said.
