We got out of the van, heads down, wings tightly pressed to our backs. Our 'Leader' told us to follow him, and we did.

The market was full of angels and humans, angels getting whipped, smacked, and crying.

Then a person with a speaker phone began yelling,
"Hello everyone! If you have any angels to sell, please go up to the front of the market and place your angel on the big wooden block. Thank you and happy buying!"

He sounded too cheery to be here.

We all did as we were told, as the smiling girl went up on the big wooden box, as the auction began to start. The auctioneer began to talk quickly, saying words I didn't even understand, and the 'Leader' made her open her white wings.

I heard the people "oooo" and "aahhh" at her wings. Then the bidding went on. Numbers getting yelled, and finally the auctioneer yelled the word "sold!"

The owner of the smiling angel went up and aggressively grabbed her by the wrist. He gave our 'Leader' his money and took off. I hope that her owner isn't as mean as he looks.

All of the angels that 'Leader' was selling got sold, it was finally my turn. I was terrified. I got up on the wooden box and spread out my beautiful black wings.

People started yelling out there price for me, when someone with a nice deep voice yelled out the words, "one million dollars!"

Everyone turned to face this man. I looked at him and saw a beautiful man with green eyes, and a pretty smile. I got hit by my 'Leader' though and I quickly looked back down.

The green eyed man must've noticed this because he said,
"Don't hit him. I bought him and he is mine."

He then walked over and took my hand gently, paying my old 'Leader.' We both then walked, my head still bowed and my wings tightly pressed to my back.

He took me to his car and we drove off, me staring out at the window, and hoping to my dad that this man will be nicer to me than my old 'Leader.'
