Dean took me to the first floor, the kitchen and the dining room. He told me to sit down at the kitchen table, and he was going to make me something.

My old 'Leader' had told me to sit down on the floor, instead of at the table. He told us dirty scum like us aren't allowed to sit at tables. Especially on the chairs.

I sat down, kneeling on the floor. It was uncomfortable, but I learned to do it, and was taught to show no signs of pain.

Dean walked over, smiling proudly, with a plate of food in his hand, but his smile died after he saw me kneeling.

"Cas, what are you doing?"

I quickly panicked, but didn't show it on my face.

"I'm kneeling on the floor."
"Why?"
"I was told to do it, by my old 'Leader.'"

He looked at me and shook his head slowly. He put the plate on the table, and held his hand out for me to grab it. I slowly did, but I was aware that I could be slapped. He then pulled me up slowly making me stand up, and patted the seat on the chair.

"It's comfy. Please, sit down,"
Dean smiled gently and I sat down.

"I would've asked one of my servants to make you something, but since you are my personal sl-helper. I thought of doing something nice for you. A welcoming gift you could call it."

He smiled proudly at the food on the plate. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I didn't know what any of it was.

"Sir-Dean, may I ask what's on this plate? I haven't seen any of these types of food before."

Dean looked at me shocked.

"You've never seen a burger and fries before?!"

I stiffened, and looked at him scared. The only time I was ever yelled at was if I was in trouble. Dean must've noticed this because his voice got more gentle.

"I'm sorry, I was just joking. I wasn't angry at you I was just shocked. Did you.. if I may ask, did they feed you angels anything?"

My wings pressed harder against my back with this question, but I answered anyway.

"Yes, they fed us bread, occasionally. Sometimes little pieces of fruit. If some angels didn't obey, they would feed us nothing for weeks. My friend.. he-he.."

I stopped, tears were swelling up in my eyes. I didn't want to cry in front of Dean. That's a sign of weakness, and I am not weak.

"It's okay Cas, I shouldn't have asked that. Trust me this is better then bread and fruit."

He then smiled gently at me and sat down next to me, waiting for me to take my first bite. I picked up my burger and bit into it. I almost moaned. The burger was so good!

"Do you like it?"
Dean asked.

I looked at him with the burger still in my hand.

"I love it. Thank you Dean."

He got up and grabbed a plate for himself.

"Good, because if not, I would've made you sleep with the dogs,"
He said chuckling a bit.

I didn't think he was serious, but he could've been. We are our food in silence and then he took the plates away when we were done. My wings were aching, they were sore and needed to be opened. Not pressed up against my back.

"May I go to the washroom Dean?"

"Sure, it's just right down the hall to your left. The first door. If you can't find it just holler."

I made my way to the washroom. I shut the door quietly and opened my wings. I sighed in relief until I heard a crashing noise behind me. Panic set in as I looked behind me and saw a bottle on the ground. It had flowers in it, beautiful roses, but they were now on the ground covered in glass.

"Cas? Are you okay?"
Dean asked knocking on the door. He then opened it and saw me and my open wings.

I started crying, bawling and trying to pick up the roses.

"I-I'm so sorry Dean. P-please forgive me. I-I'll t-try to fix it. The r-roses are okay. Dean p-please forgive me. I-I'll do anything, j-just p-please don't hurt me."

My wings curled up behind my back as he rushes over to me, examining me.

"Cas what are you talking about, they're flowers there okay. Are you hurt? Are you okay? You're bleeding, I have to get some tweezers, there right behind you."

He gently pushed me out of the way and grabbed some 'tweezers.'

"I have to use this to take out the glass. Hold my hand if it hurts too much."

I didn't, I didn't even cry. This pain was nothing compared to what I went through, I didn't even notice that there was glass in my hand. He took all of the glass out and put a bandage and wrapped it around my hand.

"There. Good as new,"
He said smiling.

I wiped away my tears from me begging for him not to hurt me.

"Thank you Dean,"
I said with a ghost of a smile on my face.

"You're welcome Cas. Follow me, we have to watch a movie that I'm sure you haven't seen before."

"What's a movie Dean?"

"Holy shit Cas I need to show you just about everything! Remind me to show you something called music as well."

I did remember, and for the first time in a while, I felt safe.
