Chapter One: Welcome to Fairytail

The sun shone brightly across the town as two young figures walked down the road. It was hot as hell outside, so the usually busy town was empty. Everyone was indoors, enjoying the cool air inside.

"Camel, are you sure this is the right place?" One of the travelers asked.

"Kit, I'm sure that the guild is around here... somewhere," The other one muttered.

"CAMEL!"

"Whaaaaaaat?!" Camel whined. "It's gotta be here. Didn't you see the guild marks on the bartender who served us at the inn back there? She said it'd be down here."

Kit sighed. "Camel, that was two towns back. She might've been working a job. We don't even know if Fairytail will let us in!"

"Fairytail?"

The arguing pair turned toward the voice. A woman with red hair and armor on stood just a few feet from them. She had a sword strapped to her belt and a knowing smile stuck to her face, like it might never leave.

"Why, that's the guild I grew up in," she said. "Come on, I'll take you to it."

The two looked at each other doubtingly, but decided to follow her. It took them only a few minutes to get to the guild, and the walk was made in complete silence.

"Now, some of them can be a bit testy and immature-" The woman started to say.

Kit kicked the door in with a slam. Instantly, everyone inside turned toward the newcomers with glares.

"I see we have one more member who's testy and immature," the woman muttered.

"Nice going, genius," Camel hissed.
