Chapter Five: Class What?!

Everyone around them was left speechless.

"Camel! You can't just say that!" Kit hissed.

"Why not?" Camel said stubbornly.

"Because... it's just... surprising, okay?! It's..." Kit sighed and stopped. "I don't know, okay?!"

Camel turned back to Makarov. "Yeah, I'm an Elemental Dragon Slayer, and I can use celestial keys. Kit won't admit it, but she's one dangerous son of a bitch. She's a Wind Dragon Slayer and she has this awesome Illusionist magic! She can mostly just make holograms and change lights and colors and stuff, but she can probably mostly turn people insane. No one will let us in Class S, though, which is weird because we're totally prepared and I have all the keys." She stopped her rant when she noticed Kit's glassy eyes.

"Kit, are okay?" She whispered.

Kit nodded, but just whispered back, "Shut up."

"Seriously, if you need-"

"I said shut up."

Makarov walked down the stairs and walked over to the two.

"Everyone, go back to whatever you were doing," He ordered.

Everybody nodded and skittered nervously back to the tables and the job boards. There was soft, nervous chatter between teams and nobody seemed at ease.

"Do you two have a place to stay?" Makarov asked as he led them down a hall.

"We can stay at a motel... er, or leave, if you-"

"No, Kit, that will not be necessary." He opened the door to an office and stepped inside, motioning for the pair to do the same.

"Mira can lead you two to an apartment or a room in the guild. Jobs are posted on the board. If you ever have a problem, you can talk to me, or Mira or Erza. We're all family here at Fairytail. And you're very welcome to stay." He smiled at the two - a sweet smile, really. It was welcoming and warm. "As for now, I can acknowledge your complaints about the ranking you two seem to be stuck in, but you two are currently regarded as D class."

"WHAT?!" The two shouted in unison.

Makarov shoved them out the door. "Why don't you go talk to Mira about your rooms?"
