The Christmas disco had come and gone.

You went this time.

I heard you set all your friends up but wouldn't let them do the same.

I will admit it was stupid but I felt so giggly and happy about that.

When the Christmas holidays kicked off, you hugged me goodbye.

And all throughout the two-week break, you texted me.

You told me about your brother.

I told you about my sister.

We talked all break.

You were the first to wish me a Merry Christmas.

I smiled like an idiot all day.

And then you invited me to some new years eve celebration.

You and all your friends drank while I sat awkwardly.

But I went home happy.

You said I looked great.

I thought about it all week.

But you'd never know
