I remember that anti-bullying seminar they called us all in for.
They handed us all pieces of paper, told us to pass them around.
Everyone write something nice on the paper, completely anonymous.
You were sitting across from me, making faces while the instructor talked.
I was trying not to laugh but I was failing.
You seemed to take it as a joke but I was really interested.
We had to jumble the papers, so it would start off at a random point.
It took at least an hour to get through everyone.
When we got it back, I couldn't help but search for your message.
I found that note the other day.
I didn't know which handwriting was yours until that day.
You said I had a pretty smile.
I wish you told me that.
Maybe we could've done something.
Something other than sneaking glances without the other noticing.
Or maybe I could've told you that you caused my smile.
Or maybe I could've told you to be gentle with my heart.
