"No no no, I can't be late today". It is the first day of exhibition and I am late, great!! Oh it rhymes ' shut-up pari'. I was running in the whole house trying to find the keys.Wait, I gave the keys to Sid yesterday, but did I take it back or not. I think I did not, I took my bag and went out, I knocked Sid's door but no response, I knocked again after about five minutes Sid opened the door with his messy hair gracefully falling on his forehead and sleepy eyes.
"Ohh! Sorry I disturbed you in your sleep but I think my keys are with you" I told him
"It's okay no problem, wait a second" he said in his sleepy voice and brought the keys
"Thankyou so much, bye" I said hastily
"Are you going to the exhibition?" He asked me
"Yes, and I am late on the first day itself"
"Wait I will tell my driver to drop you" he said while picking up his phone
"No, it's not needed I will go by auto, I am late already" I said while calling the elevator
"That's why I am asking you to go by car, it's very difficult to get auto on time in Mumbai" he said as a matter of fact
No I can't afford to get more late so I just nodded as yes, he called his driver and told the address
"Thanks"
"You can thank me later right now you should go as you are getting late" he said
I just forget everything when he is around 'stupid stupid pari'
"And best of luck" he added, I gave him a smile and pressed the ground floor button
At the hall
"Hello beta, how are you?" Yash uncle asked me
"I am fine uncle, how are you?"
"As you know I am always happy" he said smiling "okay pari so we have a room here for all the participants you can go and sit there or take a look at other paintings in the hall, if anyone is interested in your paintings then you will be called so keep your phone handy...."
Yash uncle gave me some information about the exhibition and what should I do and what not, right now I am just looking at other paintings in the hall, I was looking at the paintings when someone tapped my shoulder from behind, I turned to see who it is
"ABHI!!! " I squealed loudly
"Control pari control, we are in an exhibition and people are looking towards us" he said controlling his laughing
"Oops! Sorry, but you here, how? I told you about this exhibition right but you said that you are not taking part in it " I asked him
"Yes, because I wanted to surprise you, and see it worked" he said grinning "And for your information it was uncle's idea"
"What? Dad, don't tell me he has sent you here to spy on me"
"No I have many more important works to do than Spying on a mad girl"
I frowned listing to him and punched his arm
"Oww pari it hurts, when will you stop being violent, Nishi too was complaining about how you torture him daily" he said while rubbing his arm
"Oh so you and Nishi have teamed up against me huh"
"Yes, to stop the violence of yours" he laughed
I glared at him and he stopped laughing
"Leave all that show me your paintings" I said
"You call yourself my bestfriend right, so find it yourself" he said challenging me
"You are challenging me, wait I will show you"
"I am waiting, and no cheating pari you cannot look at the names"
I examined all the paintings and finally found the one which I thought could be his, Abhi was our college friend, our means mine and Nishi's, we both loved painting and went to the same painting classes, we used to help eachother in painting and I had seen many paintings of his.
"This one" I said pointing towards a colourful painting
"I don't know how you did it but you are right" he said
"See I told you, where are you living in Mumbai by the way"
"I am living at my uncle's house, it is near from the hall and also very peaceful so helps me to forget the problems" he said with sad expression
"Don't worry everything will be alright, they will agree soon" I said assuring him "hey, why don't you come to my home tonight, Netflix and chill like old days, it's been so long since we had a night out, what say?"
"Will I get tasty food?" He asked
"Yes, if you buy it"
"Okay then done, tonight only pari and Abhi like old days no-one else"
"Yeah, the only thing that will be missing is Nishi"
"Yes I miss him, who will save me if you get violent at night"
"This sounds so wrong abhi" I said rolling my eyes
"Oh so you both met already, did you like the surprise pari beta?" Yash uncle asked
" Yash uncle even you didn't tell me, I am so angry on both of you" I huffed and they both laughed looking at me
