I could hear voices, but could not yet see anyone. I knew some voices were real, and I knew some were in my head, and the one's inside my head seemed to be arguing. In my head, I heard two voices: Castiel's and an unknown one. Castiel was telling me to stay with the voices outside, to cling to whatever portion of life I had left. The unknown one was telling me to let go. Their voice was soothing, and I was slowly being lured toward their voice. The other voices began to fade, and were almost completely gone.
Right before they fully disappeared, I felt a shock jolt through me, and my body jumped, my back arching up. I didn't feel pain, though. The other voices were getting louder and clearer, and the soothing one was slowly fading.
"She's not responding!" a female voice shouted.
"Go again," a gruff male voice replied. I felt the jolt again, and my eyelids fluttered open.
"She's awake," the female said.
"Get her into the procedure. Now!"
I could tell I was moving, but couldn't feel a thing. That didn't stop them from giving me an anesthetic. I was rushed into a room with harsh bright lights, and my head lazily rolled to the side when the gurny I was in came to a stop.
I'm not sure how long they worked on me, but I know I didn't feel any of it, and I wasn't sure if it was because of the anesthetic or the fact that a knife had gone through my spinal cord. Had it even gone through my spinal cord?
I was transfered to another room, feeling slowly returning to parts of my body. The nurses left the room after I was situated.
"I'm Dr. Johnson," the doctor introduced himself. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm not. Not really."
He chuckled. "Barely missed your spinal cord. You're lucky."
I nodded.
"What happened?" he asked me.
"I don't remember," I lied.
He sighed. "Alright, You've got quite a few people waiting to see you. Should I send them in, or do you want to rest?"
"Send them in." I said, barely waiting for him to finish his question. "Please."
He chuckled. "They'll be right in."
He left the room, and shortly after, Dean, Sam, Aaron, Michael, and Luke came running into the room, shoving each other to get into the room. I laughed as they tried to all get through the door way at the same time. Finally, they all came in, Luke and Aaron falling and landing on the floor.
Sam, Dean, and Michael ignored them, rushing to either sides of the hospital bed I was in. I pressed a button on a small remote next to my bed, and the bed moved so I was in an up-right position.
"How are you?" Sam asked at the same time Michael asked, "How are you feeling?" at the same time Dean asked, "Are you okay?"
Luke chuckled as he stood up. "Give her some space, guys."
Dean turned around to glare Luke. "I'll still kill you."
Luke backed up toward the door, and I grabbed Dean's hand weakly. "Stop, Dean."
He looked back at me and grabbed a chair near the bed, dragging it over so it was next to the bed. "I'm so sorry baby,"
"It's o-"
"No it isn't."
"I'm alive, aren't I?"
Dean nodded, taking my hand in his and pulling it up to his lips, leaving a long, lingering kiss on my hand.
