"What do you mean, 'Surprise.'?" Sam asked Dean.

"Looks like whatever Luke and Mason are hunting is important enough for Cas to visit us." Dean tried to say calmly, but he was clearly shaken up.

"What else did he say?" Luke asked.

"What? Oh, nothing."

"Dean." Mason said.

"It's stupid. Almost impossible, really."

"So then it's nothing to worry about," Luke said. "So what is it?"

Dean sighed. "Cas thinks whatever it is is hunting me."

"What?" everyone in the room said at once.

"Like I said, impossible."

"Dean," Sam said, sitting up on the couch. "Castiel's an angel. If he thinks it's hunting you, you shouldn't be so quick to blow it off."

"Sam, I haven't hunted in I'm not even sure how long now. I haven't done anything to piss anyone off."

"We've done a hell of a lot to piss these things off in the past." Sam said.

Dean shook his head. "It's not after me."

"I think you should listen to your brother." an unknown voice said, standing directly behind Dean and me. I jumped, but Dean didn't even turn around.

"Blow me, Cas."

I turned around to see Castiel, an angel, standing behind Dean. He wore a suit under his beige trench coat, and looked at me with his blue eyes as soon as I looked at him. I felt awkward, and looked away quickly.

"Marilyn." Castiel said, waiting for me to look back at him. I did slowly.

"Yes?" I said quietly.

"I can feel your discomfort. Why?"

"I don't know." I half lied.

"No need to be shy around Cas." Sam said, smiling at me. I smiled back, then got off the couch and walked into the kitchen. Sam followed me.

"Hey, I mean it. You really don't need to be shy or anything around him. He's not-"

"Sam, shut up." I whispered, trying to hear the conversation going on in the living room. Sam caught on and stopped talking, staying quiet and listening in, too.

"Why would it be after me?" Dean said, obviously upset. "I haven't done anything!"

"Maybe a demon that was on Abaddon's side is pissed off you killed her?" Mason asked.

"That was about two years ago," Castiel said. "I find it highly unlikely."

"Maybe an angel on Metatron's side is pissed that you won?" Luke asked Castiel. "I mean, you did technically break the rules to save Dean."

I motioned for Sam to stay quiet and slowly crept out from behind the cabinets. Castiel was glaring at Luke.

"Angels wouldn't do this." he said angrily. "Besides, we're all in Heaven. We don't want to leave."

"Maybe it's a demon?" Mason suggested. "They hold grudges. And considering one was in-"

Dean saw me standing next to the cabinets and quickly cut off Mason. "No, it couldn't be a demon."

"But Dean, one was-"

"Drop it Mason. It's not a demon. Cas, do you have any ideas?"

Castiel looked at Dean, confused. "Dean, it probably is a demon. It could be. But one very powerful, more powerful than you've delt with."

"I don't hunt anymore. I haven't done anything."

"But you did enough in the past," Castiel argued.

Dean shook his head. "No, Cas, it's not a demon."

"Dean, I-"

"No, Cas."

"Dean, one was in-"

"Dammit, Castiel! I said no! Do you not understand that? I said no!"

Castiel looked offended and shocked at Dean's harsh words, and even more so as Dean pushed past him and out the front door, into the rain still falling on the city. I looked as Castiel, confused, just like Mason, Luke, and Sam.

Castiel nodded. "So he didn't tell you." He looked directly at Sam and me, and I knew whatever he was about to tell us, Luke and Mason already knew. I broke eye contact with the angel and looked at the front door, which was closed after Dean had slammed it shut. "He won't be back," Castiel said as if he had read my thoughts. "Not for a while." I stayed silent, looking back to him and nodding. Sam stepped foward.

"Cas, what the hell was that about?"

Castiel sighed. "Dean wouldn't want me to tell you. He doesn't want you to know."

"I'm his brother. And she's his girlfriend. I think if it's pissed Dean off this much, we should know."

Castiel nodded, walking back into the living room and standing in front of a sofa. "Let me tell you what Dean didn't. What happened after Sam left."

"We already know what happened," I said, confused.

Castiel shook his head. "No, you don't. Not the truth. Not the entire truth."
