A/N There might be a little confusion on the whole soccer season thing. I know Soccer season isn't in like the last few weeks of school, but in my story I'm just making it that way, because of the other ideas I have for this story. Hang in there, Ashton will be around soon. I'm giving you guys filler chapters before I put Ashton into the story. Don't want to rush the story. (:
Zoey's POV
The rest of Monday night consisted of my sister asking me a billion questions about the past, which I really didn't want to answer. The past two days ended up going better than expected. Jonah and I have made up and we are acting like normal again, which is always a plus. But my days weren't actually bad for once in my life.
Today is Thursday and we have our first soccer game. Well, first one I've played in since last season. We have about two more games until the season is over with and I'm really sad about that. I haven't really gotten to play it that much since all these events occuring in my life lately, but I'm glad to be back at it again. I'm really excited about tonight's game!
All my friends are coming tonight, and so is my family. Give or taken, they are always there.. But tonight is kind of special. I haven't played in so long, and I only want to make them proud. So, that makes me really excited. I got out of bed and did my normal morning routine. Take a shower, do my hair and make-up, and decided on what outfit I'm going to wear. I decided on simple jean shorts and a plain red shirt. It gets so hot here in Arizona, I still don't understand why my parents picked this place to live in.
I headed downstairs to grab something to eat before I left for school. I walked into the kitchen to see my parents talking. They didn't see me, so I decided to hide to see what they were talking about. It's strange to see my dad here, he's normally on his way to work by now.
"You can't do this to them, David. After all that Zoey has been through, you can't do this." My mom said to my dad. Do what? What the hell is he going to do?
"Honey, I can't help it. It's not my place to fix this.." My dad said to my mom in a calm manner. Seriously, what the hell is going on? Are they getting a divorce? No, that can't be. They are the happiest couple I've ever seen. I've always wanted a relationship like my parents.
"Well. I'm not going to be the one to tell them. I'm not hurting Zoey anymore. I understand you have to do it, but I'm not telling the girls." My mom said in an annoying tone. Hurting me? How would she hurt me? This is weird.
"Alright, I'll figure out a way to tell them." My dad said to my mom in a scared but calm voice.
"Well, you better do it soon. We don't have much time." My mom said to my dad. This is getting kind of creepy.
"I will. I'm off to work-" I took that as my que to come in and say goodbye to my dad. "-Oh, hey sweetie. I'm headed off to work, but I will be at your game tonight! I know you're going to do great, you always do! Good luck, and I love you so much." My dad said in almost a too happy manner, planting a kiss on my forehead.
"Bye daddy. I love you too." And my father headed out the door.
"Why was dad home? Doesn't he normally leave around 7? It's 7:30." I asked my mom. I already knew the answer. He has to talk to her about whatever it is they are going to do that's going to supposdely 'hurt' me.
"Oh, he just woke up late, that's all." She said with a genuine smile. But I could tell it was fake.
"Zoey! I'm ready for your game tonight! You're going to do amazing! Like always cause... You. Are. A. Amazing. Person." My sister yelled as she was running down the stairs. I guess I'll just talk to my mom about her and dad's conversation later. Me and my mom laughed at Gracie's outburst.
