Zoey's POV

13 hours later and we have finally arrived at our new home. It took us a little longer than expected. We had to stop every so often to get gas, rest, or to get food. As I look at the house, I realize this place looks really nice on the outside. It looks so much better than our last house. We have a gigantic yard, almost as big as a football field. And that's just our front yard. The house seems to be a two story house, it's a white house and there's a nice garden in the front filled with beautiful flowers. I got out of car to be immediately hit with scorchering heat. Of course no matter where I live, it feels like I live in the freaking desert.
Most of our stuff is already here. My parents decided to buy new furniture before we left and apparently it's all set up inside. We lived in a neighborhood now, unlike my old hometown. We lived in the middle of nowhere when we lived in Arizona. There wasn't a single house near us for miles, unlike this place. I have neighbors from all angles now. Maybe I'll be able to meet a new friend before school starts.

I grabbed my purse and the few small boxes I had in my car. When I walked inside the house, surprised was an understatement for how I was feeling. The place looks incredible. It's like we've been living here our whole lives. All of the family pictures and decorations my mom had at the old place, was set up all around. We had new furniture, which looked incredible. We all went into each room and admired all the new things we had. I never knew my parents had such great taste in furniture.

After admiring the kitchen, dining room, and the living room, it was time for the bedrooms.

First was Gracies bedroom. Gracie opened the door and her eyes lit up like diamonds shinning. Her room was really big for such a young age, but the theme of it was like a fairytale. It was good that she had a big room. She'll want that when she gets older. She had hot pink walls with glitter and sparkles. You know how little girls are. They love pink, glitter and sparkles. Her bed was small enough for just her, but big enough for her to grow into until she's about 10. The bed spread was white with pink and purple pillows and pink sets. It had a canopy over it to look like she was royalty. Her room was filled with pictures of the family and her with her friends. Along with all of her toys and than some.

My parents aren't rich. If they both quit their jobs, we'd be well off for the rest of our lives. But they are by no means rich. My dad just owns a successful business and that's why we get alot more than most kids do. Plus, Daddy loves to spoil his little girls.

Gracie didn't bother coming with us to see the next room : my room. She was so excited about her room, she decided to stay in there. However, my parents tagged along to see my facial expression.

I know my parents probably went way over board with my things. Most parents do that. I really hope they didnt though. I would be perfectly fine with just a simple bed and a desk to do my homework on. Most kids would never complain about their parents going way over board on things. You know, if they bought you whatever you want all the time, or if they got you some fantasy room, most kids would never complain about that. I just hate that my parents never do anything for themselves.
I open my bedroom door to be pretty amazed by how well my parents are at decorating things.

They did go overboard like I figured they would, but I'm forever grateful. My room was painted a beautiful tiffany blue, my favorite color. There was white christmas lights all around the room. I got a new queen size bed with black and white bed spread. My mom got all of my old posters of band members and all my pictures that hung above my bed at the old house, and placed them all around my room. I went over to the wall and saw all these pictures that I didn't even knew exist of me and my little sister and Emma.
I've never seen these pictures before. Some of them were all of us, some were just Emma and I, the rest were just me and Gracie. They weren't the kind of pictures that you pose for, and take over 50 of trying to get the best looking pictures. These were the kind of pictures that you get while in the moment. Pictures of us laughing, hugging, smiling at eachother, and just having a good time. They were the cutest pictures ever. My mom has never been one of those mom's to take pictures of everything. I guess I just keep getting more surprises.
