Zoey's POV

School went by faster than I wanted it to. I was hoping today would drag as long as I wanted it to. I was dreading going to Ashton's place. Not only, am I going to have to spend atleast 2 hours with him every other day, but I'm also going to have to go to his house everytime we work on this damn project. Curse you Ms.Jackson.

My last class of the day had about 5 minutes left til the bell rang. Copeland was in here with me, and I have yet to tell her about my project with the bad boy of the school.

"Hey Zoey, you wanna hang tonight, after you get off work?" Cope asked as she was putting her books and binder in her bookbag.

"I wish I could, but I have somewhere else to go tonight." I had debating back and forth on the idea of telling Cope. I'll probably just end up telling her anyways.

"Where do you have to go on a Monday night, except for work?" Cope asked giving me a slight smirk followed by a curious expression.

"I have to go do some damn project with this guy."

"Ooooooooooooooo! What guy? Is he cute?" She asked with a wink.

"Well, it's the bad boy of the school."

"Wait, that Ashton kid or whatever his name is?"

"Yup."

"Haha. Good luck. Don't go drinking or smoking with him. I can't have my best friend turning into a bad girl." Cope said as she gave me a hug and then the bell rang. I'm so not ready for this.

I walk out to the student parking lot. Ashton didn't tell me what kind of car he had, all he told me was to meet him in the student parking lot. It took me about 10 minutes just to get to the parking lot since the halls were filled with tired teenagers, eager to get home. I look around and the parking lot is close to being empty by now and finally I spot Irwin. He was leaning his back against the back of his red and rusty pick-up truck. I never really thought of Ashton having this kind of car. Normally bad boys have fancier cars.

"God, can you be any slower? I thought I was going to hit the death bed by the time you got here." He said as he opened the door and got into the drivers seat.

"Sorry, can't help it there's over 1,000 people at this school." There really was over 1,000 people at our school. That was no exaggeration. Our school was one of the biggest high school in our area.

"Maybe you should just walk faster." Ashton said has he started the car and started pulling out of the parking lot.

Ashton isn't a bad driver. I wouldn't say he's a master at it. But he's better than most teenagers. He blasted some kind of heavy rock music thats not my taste in music. And when I say blasted, I thought the speakers were going to blow out.

" I've been searching for an exit, but I'm lost inside my head; Where I spend every waking moment, wishing I was dead. For a few minutes, get me away from here. For a few minutes, wipe away my tears. For I am lost right now as the ocean deep, I am low my friend and how my heart does sink." And then the chorus came in with whom I guess is the lead singer. But they weren't screaming this part. I tried to turn down the volume, because my ears were going to burst, or so that's what it felt like. And let me tell you, never mess with Irwin's speakers.

"Don't you fucking dare touch my radio. If you don't like my music, bring headphones. I'm not changing the music to make you happy." And to think I thought he was going to change after Sunday.

"Sorry. But it's not healthy to listen to music this loud. You can go deaf." I replied crossing my arms and starred out into the window.

"Does it look like I care Zoey? Obviously, if I cared I wouldn't be listening to it this loud. Maybe I will go deaf so I don't have to your damn voice." Okay, that actually hurt. I don't even know this kid, and he's being a real big douche bag.
