*******************************

I woke up on Milan's lap. My legs were strewn across his body, and his arm was behind my back, pressing me closer to him. My forehead pressed against his cheek, and I had twisted a piece of his shirt in my right hand. I opened my eyes fully, and I saw David and Johnny asleep against the windowsill ledge, which Tuukka was sleeping on. Brad was on the other side of the chair that we were in, leaning against it. I stretched slightly, and Milan jerked awake behind me. He wrapped his burly arms around me.

"Don't leave," he whimpered sleepily. I put my hand to his cheek.

"I'm not leaving, baby," I replied softly. He buried his head in my hair.

"Good. I don't want you to."

"Damn, will you two," Patrice groaned from the bed, "shut up?"

"We were being quiet!" Milan replied.

"You're. So. Fucking. Loud," Brad and David groaned simultaneously.

"Oi, that was Bergy that woke you up," Milan defended us.

"And you five just woke me up. Will you two just, like, just makeout or bang or something?" Tuukka asked.

"Who says we haven't?" I smirked, meanwhile Milan was burying his head in my hair in obvious embarrassment. It didn't bother me when the guys teased us about sex, but it embarrassed Milan.

"The makeout part or the banging part?" Brad raised his eyebrow.

"Let your imagination run wild," I shrugged.

"DAMN. WILL YOU ASSHOLES SHUT UP?!" Johnny begged. "You're loud, and I'm trying to fucking sleep."

"Nope. You're awake now. Alright, so first thing's first. Bergy, how are you feeling?" I asked. He grinned.

"I'm feelin' great."

"Ok. Secondly: Milan and I are going on a food run. Who wants what?"

"We are?" Milan asked. I nodded.

"Yes. We're getting pizza. Now who wants what?"

"Bacon and pineapple!" Brad said. I nodded.

"Pepperoni," Tuukka added.

"And cheese," Milan said. I nodded.

"Ok. So we'll be back in, like, twenty minutes. Hawaiian, pepperoni, cheese. Ok. We'll be back," I said, and I got off Milan's lap. He got up and rubbed his head.

"Be back in a few."

We left the room, and the bland white halls made me uncomfortable. I saw a hospital bed and heard throwing up and heard yelling and a heart monitor beeping and it made me sick. I ran up to the nearest nurse.

"How can we get around that? I'm sorry...it's just...."

"It's alright. It's not for the faint of heart." Well, I wanted to comment, I'm not faint of heart. I deal with injuries all the time. Just look at what I do for a living with these damn hockey players! "If you go down that hallway and turn right, it'll bring you to the nursery. There's a set of elevators. Take those down. There's no blood there. Just babies," she smiled. I nodded.

"Thanks."

We went to the hallway. It was empty.

"Are you alright babe?" he frowned. He kissed my temple.

"I think so. I just don't like seeing people...you know, like that. I dunno. It's weird. I guess I just have a hospital thing. It's not even the people. It's just being in a place where I know people are placing their lives in the hands of strangers."

"Yeah. I understand," he nodded. We turned right, and I saw all the babies behind a thick glass window. I stopped; so did he. He put his large hand to the small of my back, sending shivers down my spine.

"Does it make you ever wanna have your own?" Milan murmured in my ear. His breath was hot against my skin.

"Yeah," I nodded. "Yeah it does."

"Any names picked out?" he teased with a smile.

"Valentina for a girl, Gian for a boy," I replied seriously.

"Valentina. Beautiful. I bet she'd be even more gorgeous that her mother," he said softly. I looked at Milan, my eyebrows raised. It startled me. The thought of marriage scared me. I hated thinking about the future. Because we didn't know what it held. It could all be ripped away in the blink of an eye. It was all ripped away in the blink of an eye. Just hinting at it....He kissed my nose, and I just stared into his big brown eyes.

"Let's go...." I shook my head. We turned right, and went to the elevator.

"Did I make you uncomfortable?" he asked. "If I made you uncomfortable by talking about marriage...."

"No. No baby, you didn't. The guys are probably hungry, that's all," I shrugged. Milan laughed. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing. It's just...before you, I hadn't been the 'pet names' type of guy," he smiled. "But with you, I absolutely love it."

The elevator doors opened, and I kissed Milan softly.

"C'mon," I smiled, "let's go get pizza."

"Sounds great," he said, kissing my jawline. I laced my fingers with his. I loved him so damn much. We walked outside and I dialed Caserta's Pizza in Providence. He raised an eyebrow.

Ordering pizza, I mouthed to Milan.

"Hi, Caserta's Pizza. How can I help you?"

"Hi, can I have a large Hawaiian, a large cheese, and an extra large pepperoni pizza?" I said.

"A large Hawaiian, a large cheese, and an extra large pepperoni pizza?" she asked.

"Yes," I confirmed.

"Alright, we're really busy, so is it alright if it's about forty minutes?"

"That's fine. Don't rush."

"And your first name?" she asked.

"Milan."

I hung up and Milan looked at me expectantly.

"Forty minutes," I sighed. He nodded. I texted Brad.

*40 mins on pizza. they're super busy. we'll be back in a while*

"That's fine. How about we go back to the apartment? We can shower and change. Sound good?" he suggested. I brushed my thumb across his cheek. My phone buzzed.

*everyone says fine. cept Johnny. he says we're all fucktards for waking him up and now the goddamned pizzas taking forever*

"Sounds amazing," I replied. We walked to the car, and I felt at ease with his gigantic figure next to me. He wasn't as big as Zdeno (then again, not many men could boast 7'2" on skates,) but I was perfectly content with my awkward and unexpectedly shy Milan.

"Do you wanna shower first, or...?"

"Um...yeah. I'll be quick," I shrugged, and we got to the car.
