"Babe," Greg and Bergy sighed simultaneously.

"Can we not?" I spluttered, taking a sip of water.

"Did you just break up with Jared?" Greg asked, brushing his thumb over my hand. I nodded.

"He's not Milan."

The three of is remained silent for a minute before I broke into a chorus of sobbing.

"I'll go get him," Greg said softly. I opened my mouth slightly.

"Soupy, you don't have to do that. He's obviously made his choice seeing as he's not here," I shook my head. Bergy laughed.

"He's been here since 3am on Monday, Dax. He hasn't left your side."

"W-Why'd he leave then?" I frowned.

"He thought you chose Jared."

"Why would he think that?" I asked confusedly, hitting my morphine button. My side killed.

"You kept asking for him," Greg raised his eyebrow. I shook my head.

"I was asking for him...I asked for Milan," I furrowed my eyebrows. Greg smiled softly.

"I'll go and get him. I'll be back in fifteen, Dax. You can take care of her Bergy?"

Bergy nodded and Greg left.

"Greg?" I called. He stuck his head back in the room. "Thank you."

He nodded.

"Dax...you scared us," Bergy said in a soft voice.

"I'm sorry," I said bluntly.

"It's not your fault."

"I let Jared drive."

"That's not your fault. He wasn't drunk or anything."

"How long have I been out?"

"Since Monday."

"I'm so sorry."

"Stop apologizing."

"But I'm sorry."

Bergy kissed my forehead.

"Dakota," he sighed, "if anything, we should be sorry that you almost died."

"How did...how did Looch react?" I asked softly.

"Well," Bergy chuckled, "not well. He punched Jared in the face, almost killed him. We all were pretty tense."

"When I was...unconscious, all I could think of was, What if I die? I'd never get married. I'd never have kids. I'd never tell you all how much you mean to me."

"We were all thinking the same thing. Dax...you really scared us," he sighed again, and he kissed my forehead again.

"You're my best friend," I said sincerely. I spluttered and he handed me the water. I took a small sip.
