I studied Milan as he drove. God, I loved him so much. His hair was matted down to his head, and his grin radiant as he sang along to Tko by Justin Timberlake. I couldn't help as I stared at his chiseled jawline and his dimple. I just smiled.
"T-t-t-Tko. T-t-Tko."
I rolled my eyes at him as he pulled into the driveway. My parents' cars were here--both of them. Milan kissed my cheek and smiled before the two of us went into the house.
"Dakota, Milan, let's see the tattoos!" my mom exclaimed as soon as we walked in the door. I showed her my wrapped wrist and she squealed like a schoolgirl. What the fuck.
"Mr. and Mrs. O'Connel are here, come in and say hello," she ushered. I rolled my eyes at Milan who stifled a laugh.
"Must we?" I whispered harshly. She shook her head.
"Of course you must!" she replied. I looked at Milan and rolled my eyes again. He just kissed my temple. I looked at my mom with pleading eyes. She shook her head.
"Fine," I groaned. Milan squeezed my hand as we came into the kitchen. I saw Mrs. O'Connel, her blonde-streaked-grey hair in a tight bun. And I also saw the bald Mr. O'Connel. I looked at Milan who made a goofy face and I just kinda shook my head.
"Hey, Mr. and Mrs. O!" I exclaimed fakely. And Milan knew it, as did Mom and Dad.
"Hi, Dax!" Mrs. O exclaimed, bringing me into a big hug. I smiled.
"This is my boyfriend, Milan," I introduced. DON'T say anything, I silently prayed. She didn't, luckily, except,
"It's great to meet you!"
She was so fucking perky.
"It's great to meet you too," Milan smiled charmingly. Mrs. O'Connel smiled, and that's when I saw a figure with tousled blonde hair come from the bathroom. And then a figure with tousled copper hair come from the basement. And I swore very loudly.
"I can't fucking do this," I shook my head, and I left off running out the door, down the road, and as far away from the house as I could go without a car.
Milan's POV
I looked at Fenton, then I looked at Erik. And I just looked back and forth between the two.
What the fuck, Mrs. M.
"What was that about?" Mrs. I'm-The-Mother-of-Satan asked.
"You're son's a douchebag, that's what it was about," I sighed. I ran a hand through my hair. "Where would Dakota go if she were pissed off?"
"School," Erik answered immediately. "She'd go to the school."
"No she wouldn-"
"Fenton, fuck off," Erik and I snapped simultaneously. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair again.
"Erik, c'mon. Let's go to the school."
Erik nodded, and the two of us left the house.
"Why the fuck would Fenton be there?" I asked angrily.
"I don't know!" Erik protested. "You know we broke up!"
"Yeah, and somehow I don't think your sister does."
