"Wake upppppppp!" Milan groaned. He shoved my shoulder. I flailed my arm towards him sleepily.

"I don't wanna!" I mumbled sleepily into my pillow.

"The guys are pissed you took their car keys. Wake up!" I opened my eyes slowly to see Milan rolling his own. "Get up!"

He ripped the blankets off me.

"Oi, what the fuck?" I groaned.

"C'mon, we gotta get to Bergy's," he rolled his eyes. I shoved his shoulder.

"What the hell, Milan? Why couldn't you've just brought over the damn keys?" I huffed, going to the closet and grabbing a sweatshirt. I pulled it over my head and put my hair in a messy bun.

"Because I want the company of my wonderful girlfriend," he said sarcastically.

"I'm literally two seconds away from smacking you," I grumbled. He grinned crookedly and I couldn't help but grin in return. I was wearing a pair of Hanes shorts and his sweatshirt. I didn't particularly care though, on account that they were practically my brothers.

"Love you."

*couple weeks later*

"I swear, if we are late for this damned flight to Vermont I'm going to kill you, Milan," I swore, running a hand through my hair.

"Ooh, that's not nice!" he teased. "I think you're a little testy because I'm going to your hometown."

"Shut up. I am not testy. I just don't wanna miss this damned flight," I sighed. He wrapped his arms around my waist.

"We're through security, love. The plane doesn't leave for a half hour. I think we're all set," he smiled. "Now c'mon. Let's grab a bagel and some gum before we get on this plane."

"Fine," I sighed. He laced his fingers with mine, and we walked to the little snack shop. I got a pack of gum and some almonds; meanwhile, Milan just for some Pringles. We went back to the boarding gate and waited.

"Your mum is so nice," I laughed. Milan smiled.

"She absolutely loved you. Loved you. On the way out, she told me you were a keeper and that if I screwed it up I shouldn't bother coming home."

I blushed and Milan leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"You ready for five days with my parents?" I asked.

"Yes. I'm completely ready," Milan nodded.

"I'm not," I laughed. He smiled.

"We'll be fine."

"I'm bringing you into my old life," I reminded him. He shrugged.

"It's not gonna make me love you any less."

"It won't?" I asked, biting my lip. He laughed.

"No, Dakota. Meeting the people from your childhood will not lessen my affection for you in any way, shape, or form. I promise," he said, squeezing my hand. He kissed my cheek again. "The next five days are going to go so well. I promise."
