Chapter 24:
Frank was beginning to get impatient again. It was already five o'clock in the evening, and Gerard never came to go to lunch with Frank like he had promised. That had him worried for a while, but he kept telling himself excuses like, Gerard was probably really busy. It was his first day on the job; he wasn't going to have time for his petty boyfriend... Frank couldn't help but to feel horrible about himself. His boyfriend had a new good-paying job, and Frank was sitting behind the dumpster outside of the building waiting around for Gerard like a lost puppy. This isn't what he had expected when Gerard said he was getting a job.Well, Frank hadn't really known what to expect, but he at least wanted a little time with Gerard to himself. Just a lunch date, or anything really. Frank had been bored out of his mind the entire day, fiddling with his thumbs and throwing a tiny rock at the brick wall was all he could do to pass the time.
Another hour passed, and Frank was sure he was going insane. He needed some human contact as soon as possible. He knew for sure that he wasn't going to be able to sit through this every single day. There was just no way. His impatience was eating him alive.
That's why when the front sliding doors slid open, and Gerard finally walked out, Frank jumped to his feet with a huge smile on his face. He watched as Gerard tiredly made his way to where Frank was standing. Gerard gave him a weak smile that wasn't really much of a smile; more of an awkward confused, worried look that made Frank pause before he hugged him.
"Something wrong?" Frank asked.
Gerard brushed a hand through his hair and made a weird face at the ground. "No, it's nothing. I just... need to talk to you about something -someone. But first, I'm so sorry that I missed lunch with you. I- I just got so busy, and I didn't notice the time-"
"Gerard, It's fine. Who do you need to tell me about?" He questioned.
"It's uh- I-... You'll see. We're all going to out to eat together- I'm sure that you must be starving."
"Wait, what do you mean, 'we're all going out'? Is someone else coming?"
"Yeah. He's the president of Cartoon Network, and he's kind of my boss, and well... I told him about our current situation. Y'know with the whole 'not having a place to live' thing, and he offered to let us stay in his apartment until we find a place of our own. So, he said that he'd get off of work in just a bit, and to go ahead to the restaurant, so he can meet us there. And there's something else that I need to tell you... I'll just- I'll do it later, okay?"
Frank narrowed his eyes at the last sentence. "Well, why can't you just tell me right now?"
"I just-" Gerard nervously scratched the back of his neck. "I'll tell you later. At dinner."
Frank sighed, and gave Gerard a weird look. Why couldn't he just tell him right then? Why did he have to wait? "Fine." he breathed out.
Gerard gave him a sympathetic smile, and grabbed his hand. "Come on, let's go. He gave me these directions to the restaurant where he's going to meet us."
Frank happily obliged, for his stomach had been growling at him since noon. Food sounded great, but he couldn't get his mind off of Gerard's weird behavior. If there was someone Gerard needed to tell Frank about, why couldn't he just tell him right then and there?
The smell coming from the Italian Restaurant that Gerard led Frank into immediately took his mind off of anything he had been questioning before. All that mattered was that he got some food in his mouth soon.

Ok this is now sort of switching over to more of Gerard's point of view for this part.
