Chapter 7:

There in the doorway stood a tall bony woman. Her hair was light and she had thin lips that curled into a welcoming smile. Frank was immediately relieved. She wasn't so bad after all. Maybe she would even like him. The woman turned her gaze to Gerard, who had let go of his hold on Frank's hand.

"Mom, this is my... friend, Frank. He needs a place to stay..." said Gerard while glancing at Frank out of the corner of his eye. Gerard's mom smiled but then gave Gerard a stern look.

"You two shouldn't be outside this late at night, it's way too cold out there!" She pulled them into the warm house and then closed the door behind her. Frank could smell the scent of something baking in the oven and his mouth began to water. He hadn't eaten in a while and he could feel the empty pit in his stomach, but he had just walked in. He didn't want to seem demanding, so he paid attention to Gerard's mom who was just opening her mouth to speak to Frank.

"I'm Donna, or you can just call me Mrs. Way. What's your name, dear?" she asked with a smile. Frank was surprised by her eagerness to meet him. He had thought of all the possible things that could've gone wrong with this moment. He was sure that she would hate him, just as everyone else normally did. But much like her son, she looked past the fact that Frank hadn't showered in over a week, and focused on the good in him. Although he didn't quite see the good in himself, but now he didn't need to. He finally had someone to appreciate him, and that was Gerard.

"I'm Frank," he said offering her a smile back. She turned to Gerard.

"Your friend seems very nice." then she turned back to Frank, "It's nice to meet you Frank. I'm sorry, but it's late, and I'm not as young as you guys anymore. I need my beauty sleep." she stated with a hint of sarcasm. "Dinner is cooling in the oven. Goodnight Gee-bear," she said as she patted Gerard's shoulder. Frank grinned at her pet name for him. Gee-bear. He made a mental note to make fun of him for that later. "Goodnight Frank," she called out over her shoulder as she walked to her bedroom. Gerard let out a sigh.

"Well, that went well." he sounded relieved. He had been just as nervous as Frank was. Gerard's mom was always nice to guests, but he wasn't sure if she would allow him to stay over. Apperently she didn't mind too much.

Gerard could tell that Frank was starved  by the way he was eyeing the oven. "Let's get something to eat." Frank nodded and rushed into the kitchen.

Gerard pulled out a pan from the oven. It held a cheesy tray of lasagna. Frank's stomach grumbled and Gerard chuckled. He brought out two plates and forks to the bar area in the kitchen. They piled the steaming food onto their plates and dug in. They were silent, only the sound of their forks hitting their plates until Gerard spoke up.

"So, where do you want to sleep? We have a guest room or.. I mean, if you want... you could sleep in my room..." said Gerard nervously. Frank knew he didn't want to sleep in a guest room when he had the opportunity to sleep in the same bed as Gerard. There was an awkward silence as Frank finished the last of the food on his plate then looked up at Gerard.

"I'll sleep in your room, if that's okay with you.." he didn't want to seem so eager. Gerard smiled and picked up their empty plates and set them in the sink.

"Alright," he said, "let's go." They walked into Gerard's room which was messier than the last time that Frank had been in there. Frank pulled his bag off his shoulder and went through it, looking for a change of clothes. He pulled out some grey striped boxers and his favorite band shirt that he'd worn at least a thousand times. Gerard walked into the bathroom and Frank stayed to change. Gerard emerged back into his room and smiled at Frank who was just pulling his shirt over his chest.

They both climbed under the covers and Gerard sat facing Frank for a moment. Frank was unsure of what was going to happen. Surely Gerard wasn't expecting to have sex... Frank was in no way ready for that. He was just happy to be laying there beside Gerard. He scooted his body closer and Gerard did the same until they were pressed against each other.

"Thanks for letting me stay here.." said Frank just trying to break the silence. Gerard bit his bottom lip and nodded his head.

"It's my pleasure," he whispered as he moved his hand up to Frank's cheek. He stroked it with his thumb until Frank gave in and crashed his lips onto Gerard's. Gerard held tighter to Frank and climbed on top of him, not breaking their kiss. His knees rested on either side of Frank's hips, and his arms were tangled in his hair. They stayed that way for a few minutes just making out until Gerard ran a trail of kisses along Frank's upper chest. Frank closed his eyes and let out a loud moan, then Gerard shot up and covered Frank's mouth with his hand.

"Shh! You can't make that much noice!" he whispered loudly.

"S-sorry," giggled Frank. He wasn't used to this. Sure he had had a few girlfriends before, but nothing like this...not with a guy. Everything was different when it was with Gerard. They hadn't really known each other for that long, but it felt right for some reason, but Frank knew that he wasn't ready to go all the way. That seemed far away. He was new to all of this...

Frank rolled out from underneath Gerard who then sighed and pulled the covers over his head. He poked his head under them and sighed. "Thanks alot Frank. Now I'm hard." he stated. "You just had to moan didn't you?" he said playfully. Frank laughed and looked down at the bulge that had risen in Gerard's boxers. He thought about maybe touching Gerard's bulge just to tease him more, but he wasn't so sure of what he was doing. Being in bed with a guy was something Frank had never planned on before. ..Gerard stepped out of his bed and rushed into the bathroom to jerk off. Frank laid in bed, staring at he ceiling trying to make sense of everything that was happening.

Gerard came back out and let out a sigh as he crept back under the covers and wrapped his arm around Frank. "Hopefully my brother Mikey didn't hear any of that..." said Gerard while angling his body to Frank.

"Yeah... let's hope not.." he replied. Gerard leaned across his bed side table and turned off the lamp. Frank's eyes took a second to adjust to the darkness, but when they did, he could just make out his soft facial features; the point of his nose and they way his eyes always had a little glimmer in them. Frank closed his eye lids and so did Gerard.

"Goodnight Frankie," whispered Gerard.

"Goodnight Gee,"
