Camila's heart was beating rapidly as she dialled the last few digits of Lauren's phone number again. She had now tried to call nine times but the older girl wasn't picking up. After the events that had been happening in their lives lately, Camila couldn't help but initially assume the worst.

The younger girl sighed as she was redirected to voicemail yet away. "Hi Lauren, it's me again. Please call me back. What I said, how I acted..." she breathed, "it wasn't me. None of it was. Just please pick up the phone and let me know you're safe. I just want you home with me."

Camila then ended the call and began to weep, feeling like her entire body was caving in and there was nothing she could do about it.

-

"So, tell me a little bit more about yourself..." the blonde dragged out, Lauren caught on to the fact that the woman sat opposite her wanted her name.

"Lauren."

"Right, Lauren. Tell me something about you."

After a short cab ride, they arrived at the blonde's apartment where they sat in the living room drinking champagne out of weirdly fancy glasses.

"What do you want to know?"

"Anything you want to tell me, Lauren." The other woman husked as she moved even closer. Lauren decided that she wasn't drunk enough for this so took a huge gulp of her drink to calm her nerves.

The Latina couldn't deny that this woman was very gorgeous, almost too good to be true.

"I'll tell you something after you tell me your name." Lauren then moved her arm at the back of the couch, behind the blonde's head allowing the woman more access to move closer.

"Dianna."

"Pretty name."

Dianna leaned in closer, "so tell me something about yourself."

"I'm 23, Miami native. Not much going on in my life."

The blonde quirked an eyebrow, "now why don't I believe that's true."

"I can show you my birth certificate if you'd really like." Lauren scoffed cockily.

Dianna rolled her eyes, "I don't doubt that part. I'm talking about the 'not much going on' part."

The Latina smirked, "and what makes you think that?"

"Well, you were taking those shots pretty hard. Harder than I've ever seen anyone take them. Somebody with 'not much going on' doesn't drink their weight in vodka."

"Okay, okay! I have some stuff going on." Lauren held her hands up defensively. "But none of that matters right now."

"Why's that?" The blonde moved impossibly closer until the pair's lips were barely grazing.

Before the final push could be made, Lauren began thinking about Camila. Her palms became sweaty as she thought of the small brunette alone and most definitely regretting what she had said.

"I have a girlfriend." Lauren blurted out.

Dianna smirked, "doesn't bother me."

"I need to go."

Something in the air went cold as the latina started to edge away from the woman, Lauren couldn't shake the negative energy suffocating her.

The blonde grabbed Lauren's wrist, "c'mon stay for a few more drinks."

"No, I really must be going, my girlfriend...sh-she needs me," Lauren tried to calm her nerves but they were increasing incredibly fast. "if you want to give me your number or whatever, we can meet up another time." the brunette stood up and started to awkwardly pat down her jeans, searching for her phone. Once she had pulled the device out of her pocket and saw the amount of missed calls, voicemails and texts she'd received from Camila, her panic skyrocketed.

"What's wrong? Your girlfriend feeling all lonely in that big house of yours?" Dianna sarcastically frowned.

"Umm yeah...so i better get back-" Lauren paused abruptly when what the blonde said finally clicked. "How would you know that she's all alone at my house?"

Dianna shifted her eyes from her wine glass to Lauren's pupils are stared intently. "A guess, dear."

Lauren had a gut wrenching feeling something bad was about to happen and knew she had to get out of that apartment right now.

"Anyway, I'm going to go now." the brunette began edging her way out of the living area and towards the door until she heard a laugh that sent shivers down her spine and made her stand still.

"Oh no, you're staying. you don't have any other choice."
