Strong Side of Me

Even though I don't like to tell,
I have been through hell,
I've never been in love,
Because I thought I would never be enough;

Once I knew I was going under,
I felt trapped like I was under frozen water,
My heart snapped in to like a broken wire,
I had to grow up and build my walls up higher,
I'll have to learn to be a fighter;

One day I'll be able to feel it in my bones,
And it's gonna be the best feeling I've ever known,
And I'll be out on my own,
Because that's the way it's meant to be,
So I can prove to you,
The strong side of me;

I'm letting go of what was,
Because that's what true survivor does,
Opening the door to a new beginning,
I can feel a bigger part of me changing;

One I knew I was going under,

I'm gonna live out to see another day,
There's no way I'm gonna stay,
Because there more for me to be,
I need to prove,
That there's a strong side to me;

I'm gonna live my life on my own,
I'm gonna see how far I've grown,
Once I feel that feeling in my bones,
It's gonna be the best feeling I've ever known,
I'm gonna run far away,
I'm gonna live to see another day,
Because that's the way it should be,
For me to prove,
The strong side of me;
