Chapter 2: Sweet Nightmares

Twilight and the ponies explored the castle in four groups of four. Twilight explored with Shining Armor, Cadence, and Trixie. The four ponies wondered why they had to kill. "None of you better get the idea to kill me!" Trixie exclaimed.

"We won't, we won't!" Twilight persisted.

"We need to stay together if we want to get anywhere." Shining Armor said.

"Exactly! If we don't kill anyone, then Lunar Nightmare will be forced to let us go!" Cadence remarked.

"I'm not sure..." Twilight started.

"Then it's settled! No murdering!" Trixie decided. The four ponies found out that there was a racing track for Pegasi, practice courses for magic for Unicorns, and a variety of games and sports for Earth Ponies. The bedrooms were marked by the owner's cutie mark, except for the Crusaders, for they had their symbol with one of their names under it. After their exploration, they all met in the dining hall, where they discussed possibly why they were chosen. "Why don't we all introduce ourselves and say our Ultimate Talent." Twilight suggested, "For example, my name is Twilight Sparkle and I'm the Ultimate Student."

"That's your talent? I'm the Great and Powerful Trixie and I am the Ultimate Performer!" Trixie exclaimed.

"I'm Rainbow Dash, the Ultimate Racer!" Rainbow Dash announced,

"Um, I'm Fluttershy, and I'm the Ultimate Pet Keeper." Fluttershy shared.

"Applejack, Ultimate Farmer."

"Pinkie Pie, Ultimate Party Pony!"

"Rarity, Ultimate Designer."

"I'm Applebloom, and I'm the Ultimate Leader!"

"Sweetie Belle, Ultimate Singer."

"Scootaloo, Ultimate Scooter Rider."

"Diamond Tiara, Ultimate Popular!"

"Silver Spoon, Ultimate Assistant."

"Doctor Whooves, Ultimate Time Lord."

"Derpy Hooves, Ultimate Disaster."

"Shining Armor, Ultimate Soldier."

"Princess Cadence, Ultimate Peacemaker."

"Did we get everypony?" Twilight asked.

"I'm certain you did." A familiar voice said, as Lunar Nightmare appeared onstage. She tilted her head slightly and said, "I'm honestly surprised that nopony has been killed yet."

"We won't fall for your tricks!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"Hmmm, I know what you need! A motive!" Lunar decided.

"What kind of motive?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"This kind," Lunar said, blasting a ray of light in front of her. The blue light took the form of Princess Celestia with her wings tied to her side and a magic preventing ring around her horn. She was slightly wounded and crying. Everypony gasped except Doctor Whooves. "How do we know that that isn't fake?" He asked.

"Would I ever lie to you?" Lunar asked with mock sadness on her face. The image disappeared as she continued, "I forgot to mention earlier that the winner of my game gets to free Celestia. But, if you fail," when she stopped speaking, she drew her hoof across her neck. "Do well, and have sweet nightmares!" Lunar laughed, disappearing. Right as she left, bells sounding signaling that it is ten p.m. The ponies hurried to their rooms and fell into an uneasy sleep.

Except for one.

Twilight woke up and made her way to the dining hall. She was halfway down the stairs until she heard a scream. She ran to the source of the scream. Diamond Tiara stood terrified in front of something that nopony will ever forget. Twilight looked over her and nearly fell over at the sight. Somepony was killed overnight.

That pony was Silver Spoon.

Author's note: I honestly didn't think that a filly would be the first one to bite the dust. Don't scream at me that I killed a filly because I didn't like her. THE DEATHS ARE RANDOM!!! I literally downloaded an app that put in all the constants' names into two groups, one chose the victim, the other was the killer. Silver Spoon's name happened to be selected. I honestly didn't want to kill her off, but that was against the rules. So I'm sorry, I didn't wanna do it! :(
