Chapter 5: Not Again

Rainbow Dash flew around the mansion, searching for Twilight. Nopony has seen head or tail of her all day. She decided to check the library, where she was last seen. She landed and walked into the large room. Books lined the shelves, hundreds, thousands of them, probably. Rainbow Dash looked around, calling her name, "Twilight? Are you in here?" Them she saw it. Twilight's tail was visible near a chair. "Twilight? Are you asleep?" Rainbow asked.

No answer.

"C'mon, this isn't funny!"

No answer. Rainbow got closer. She stepped back in horror. "No, not again! Please, no!" Rainbow said to herself.

"A body has been found! You have one hour to investigate! Good luck, everypony!"

"Twilight? Who would do that?" Shining Armor cried.

"I don't know, but we have to find out! For Twilight!" Cadence comforted Shining Armor, but it didn't seem to help. Twilight lay on the chair, eyes closed. Her horn was cut off to prevent her from using magic. Her throat was slit, and no signs of a struggle was shown on her face. Rainbow Dash again assigned positions. The Doctor and herself were going to investigate Twilight's body, and everypony else were to search for a weapon or another piece of evidence. Rainbow Dash got to work, and everypony went to their areas.

Shining Armor was distraught of how anypony could kill his little sister. Why would they attack an alicorn anyway? He glanced at the open book next to Twilight. "Do you need this?" Shining Armor asked the group investigating the body.

"No, go ahead." Doctor answered. Shining Armor held up the book. It was a book about making a duplicate of yourself out of light. He wondered why Twilight would be reading about something like that. It was probably Twilight being Twilight, reading every book that she could get her hooves on. "What's this?" Derpy asked. She held up a knife. It was very dull, as if used to cut something hard. "Derpy, I think you found the weapon!" Shining Armor happily said.

Rainbow Dash was disgusted by what she saw. Nopony had the right to suffer from this! Especially not a mare like her. Everypony knew her and was friends with her. Would one of her trusted friends really betray her like this? "No injury on the wings or anywhere else other than her horn and neck." Doctor Whooves reported.

"No struggle? Nothing? I would've put up a great fight!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"There are three possibilities. One, she didn't see her killer. Two, she didn't suspect her killer would do any harm. Three, she was asleep or knocked out when the murder took place."

"It has to be the last one! Twilight would've had several chances to escape or fight back with the other two."

"That does explain why her eyes are closed. Are there any drugs that could be used to put one to sleep?" Rainbow Dash looked around the area. She noticed a cupcake on the table next to where her book was. There was a bite in it. "I think I do." Rainbow Dash said.

Author's note: You may have noticed that this story was on hold for a while. That's because I wanted to focus on Mirrored for a while, because it was the most popular story, and it still is. Then, DRMLP got a huge spike in popularity, so I said, "If people like it, then I will make more!" I took it off hold, and here I am! I hope you enjoyed, and more is on the way!
