Lilac's P.O.V

After a fun night of watching shows and streaming, I saw everyone off after a nutritious breakfast of waffles and raspberries that were a day of so out of date.

I woke up even earlier the following Monday so I could walk to school. I could have taken the bus but with there being no food in the house I decided I'd stop at the Bayani's Bakery.

I walked in the door to be hit with a blast of fresh baked delights and Mrs Bayani very happily smiling at all the early morning costumers. I waited in line for one of their great muffins. I dug out the money in the queue and when I got to the front Jordan's dad came round the corner from the baking room with a bag and placed it on the counter in front of me.

"Just out of the oven and fresh, just for our favourite costumer." he said joyfully. I smiled back with a thank you and gave them the money for it.

"Jordan's upstairs if you'd like to walk with him." the bakers wife yelled to me as I was about to leave. I nodded and headed up and let myself into their house and up to his room.

I was about to knock as he came out and he jumped back a little in shock before greeting me with a pleasant good morning and a hug.

"Well Princess, what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you before school?" He said as we headed down the stairs and out the bakery door.

"My parents didn't leave me much food so I thought I'd come for the best food in town."

"This town is tiny, so that doesn't mean as much as it would somewhere else." He replied. I chuckled slightly biting into my breakfast. Despite being freshly baked it seemed below what they normally are. This one seemed more dry and muddy tasting. I ate it none the less while listening to Jordan awkwardly try to subtly hint at the fact he wants to talk about his attempt to kiss me. But I'm mean and refuse to catch on.

It was probably about third period when I started to feel unwell. I moved from room to room, in some I was frozen, in others I couldn't open enough windows. I had a headache that was at points a dull ache in the background and then would hurt so badly I'd have to shut out the world and close my eyes. And I think it was my chest that hurt the most. Simply breathing became sore. No excruciatingly painful. I was taking shorter breaths to make it hurt less, however I was very short of breathe. I barely talked to anyone and didn't eat at lunch. I went to my english classroom and slept from bell to bell. I didn't tell anyone I was there or how unwell I was.

Until 6th period. I was walking to maths with Jordan and he finally seemed to see the panicked expression on my face. My chest heaved in pain and it cried when he put his arm around me trying to support me.

"Lil are you ok?!" He said. I stumbled slightly and obviously needed his help but his grip was getting stronger than I could take.

I lightly pushed him off with a nod and the sweetest smile I could muster. He walked in the classroom before me and I got about two steps in before everything stopped.

My lungs burned and I couldn't breath. I tried gasping for air. But nothing was getting through.

I panicked and fell to my hands and knees, clutching my chest. Jordan turned and knelt but my side, asking what was wrong.

With the last bit of air in me, I managed to barely whisper,"...I...... can't......breath...."
