Jordan's P.O.V
We sat at the top of the tree in silence. Cuddled together. The only sounds were the slight breeze and our heartbeats.
You could see twilight over the tree tops, and there was barely a cloud in the sky. The first few stars were coming out and you could almost see the moon moving over the earth.
The world looked happy. The world looked like it was one. The world was taking a five minute rest from every crime and threat to be quiet.
"Do you know which song I'm gonna start quoting this time?" She said to me.
"Maybe..." I replied, even though I knew.
"Here we are on top of the stars, never thought we'd ever get this far, we live for moments like this, we come alive in moments like this..." Lilac softly said.
"I don't wanna close my eyes. I'm feeling so alive. I try to find the words, but no words can say what my heart is feeling. I just wanna stop the world from spinning, slow it all down for a minute so that I can take it in."
"I can take it in..." We say together, looking into each others eyes. She smiled fondly at me before leaning in. I met her halfway and her lips softly met my own.
I snapped out of my fantasy and back to reality as the real Lilac began to stir from sleep. I quickly removed my hand from her soft hair. I found that a few strands were beginning to fall out, pulling me even deeper into worry for her health.
"Good, I'm guessing afternoon, Sir Jordan. While I don't mind a good petting every once in a while, this one will have to be put on hold while I go to the bathroom."
She didn't seem to be in pain which was a relief. But I made a note to give her more medicine when she gets back from the toilet. She sat up with a bit of help and went to the bathroom down the hall, feeling her way along the wall as she went. Poor thing.
"How long have you been awake? That made me jump out of my skin, I thought you were asleep." I responded softly when she returned. I could only imagine how frightening she must be, not being able to see anything. Including my concern.
"Just shows I'm a good actor. I've been up a wee while." She replied, smirking playfully.
"Jordan, I need to tell you something. It's sorta important." She said standing in the doorway suddenly looking very uncomfortable.
"Yeah?" I replied getting up to lead her back to bed.
I took her hand only for her to snatch it back and walk to the bed herself. I stood looking at her, waiting for her to continue.
"I'm demisexual...." She paused. She turned on the bed to look away from me despite not being able to see me.
"I know you like me."
"Yeah but it means nothing.. We're friends and that's cool with me."
She sighed and replied quickly,"I don't wanna seem like the asshole here but I just don't have those kinds of feelings. For anyone." She said sort of relieved.
Lilac's P.O.V
My first coming out talk went sorta good. Well maybe that's not the way to put it. I really don't know, considering I couldn't see his reaction, and he stayed quiet. He gave me more medicine, offered a breakfast, and said he was going to phone my parents downstairs.
