Lilac's P.O.V
I walked into my dark and empty house very late that night. Despite the fact I had been rushed into hospital, they took hours to let me leave. I answered all the questions and took all the drugs they could possibly find once I woke up, slightly dazed and wanting some answers myself.
"It was a somewhat rare poison that you must have ingested not too long ago. The poison began to attack your lungs and windpipe, suffocating you. Do you remember having any food or liquid that perhaps tasted off. It can't always be detected but it would be useful to know." One of the doctors told me. I shook my head just processing everything and too dazed to remember that I'd eaten at all that day.
"You're lucky. Not many people would have survived that. But however there will be long and short lasting side effects. I've informed you're friend outside of what to look out for and he has a contact in case it flares up again. You're free to leave just be sure to sign out downstairs in the lobby." She smiled at me warmly as she took off the oxygen mask.
So yeah. I was left to be taken home by Jordan, to an empty house. No food in the house, washing still to be done, the dishwasher needed to be unloaded and reloaded, the carpet needed hoovering, my bed was broken so I was sleeping in my parents room and now I couldn't do anything but sit and rest.
I think the one thing that thankfully didn't need fixing was my phone, so within 5 minutes of being in the door I threw it to a tired Jordan at the other end of the sofa and demanded he order 3 pizzas.
"Lilac you know we don't need that much pizza."
"You may only need one but I have only had a muffin today and that was at 8 o'clock this morning. It is 11pm!"
"It's nice to know you still have your sense of humour. What if I order you an extra large one?"
I nodded in agreement while yawning and he went into the hallway to order in peace. I lay there lifeless as he got us drinks and put on the tv. He flipped through a few channels before settling on the news. I suppose that was a good idea. Hospitals feel so disconnected from the outside world. You walk in to a maze of white walled corridors and the occasional sign leading you to different specialist departments and the x-ray rooms.
I hadn't felt it until that point but all the power really had been drained out of me. My chest had been completely numbed by drugs to where I'd have to look down at my still rising and falling chest just to make sure I wouldn't go back to the hospital. I didn't have the brain strength left to be embarrassed that I wasn't allowed to wear a bra in front of Jordan for the next few days. My legs had fallen asleep from being carried and pushed everywhere and my eyes were bloodshot and begging for me to go to bed.
A while later the loud doorbell interrupted the silent household. I flinched as I had almost fallen asleep. Jordan got up and turned to me slightly, seeing my obvious shock.
"It frightened me too." He said with a chuckle. I giggled slightly along with him before returning my head to the cushions.
"Not as much as you did." He said as he left the living room. Jordan couldn't hide anything he felt if his life depended on it, and why he thought to try a whisper a backhanded statement to anger towards me in a silent house was a good idea I would never know.

Some smart cookies may be able to work out what happened. But enough about that, tis summer and updates are coming. Hopefully. this chapter was weird but I couldn't just skip over this exposition and if you thought the last chapter was dark just wait,
