Ch 5
The train slid to a stop. I peered out of the window at the Capitol people. They were dressed in bright colors with too much makeup and the weirdest looking hairstyles I had ever seen. As soon as we made our way through the crowd we were whisked away to the makeover center, which basically looked like a hospital but was used for torture. Well... At least that's how I saw it. I knew a few girls back in district 10 who would kill for a chance to come here. I gritted my teeth to avoid screaming at my prep team as they yanked the comb through my hair again. I had already had all the hair on my legs removed and was feeling tingly. I tried to relax but it was hard. After what seemed like eternity the prep team stood in front of me and whispered amongst them selves. I was too tired to care much of what they said. "We are going to take you to Linivo now." One of them said. I allowed them to lead me out of the room and into a sitting room where a man with short, bright blue, hair, and wearing dark jeans, and a button down shirt stood. All in all he looked fairly normal. He explained to me that he was going to put me in a black fringed dress, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat, with accessories for the chariot parade tonight. Since that sounded simple enough I agreed. The prep team helped me to slip into a soft dress, black boots, and a black cowboy hat. After they pulled my hair into two messy French braids and pinned them into a bun. Then then brought out blue feather earrings and a bear claw bracelet. I had on the necklace from Ben and they agreed to let me keep that on. They all wished me good luck and I left to find Ben.
