How long has it been, how many have I lost? How the world turned upside down in a glimpse of an eye. Is there an end to this terror? Life isn't easy but It gets harder with each minute that passes by. It is rare to see humans and if you did sometimes you have to kill them. The town is destroyed, buildings were torn down. The rest of the world must be even worse.
They are everywhere you can't escape If you want to survive in the darkness of this world then you must follow the rules. If you break them, you must pay the price. It won't be cheap, it can cost you your life or even worse. Eternal torture and pain you never felt.
....
All this terror started so long ago. 20 years ago more or less, even I am not sure...
There is nothing left to live for. I don't even know why I'm still here... why the hell am I still alive?
The first rule always stays in the light. You can walk the streets in the morning but never enter the darkness. You never know what you might find that will help you survive. I barely saw survivors in this town... I wonder how many humans are left in this world.
I walked the streets as I could feel them watching me from the broken houses. It is dark from inside yet their eyes are red as blood, glowing in that darkness. I hold my shotgun tighter as I kept walking. It is not enough that's what I thought as I opened the door of a store. It was a silly thought but had to take a chance. I needed more supplies.
I took the risk and broke the first rule. I had no choice as I was already being short on supplies. I stormed inside the store aiming my shotgun checking if anyone was there. Hold a flashlight in my other hand. As I walked through the store. slowly put some food and whatever I can find inside my bag.
I closed the flashlight as I walked out into the sunlight. Memories start to flashback. I almost swear I could see it and feel it as I am really there. I must be going crazy. Well, all that has happened to this world is crazy.
Movies were made that the end of the world will be by zombies. Little do they know, there are things worse than zombies. Heard a man screaming for his life as his blood is spilled all over the place yet still not dead. Half of his body is turned apart as a black stick penetrates his stomach. He was inside a dark alley, the poor guy looks me in the eyes. He said only one word "please" as he stators.
I closed my eyes as I saw the red eyes stands in front of his body. He screamed as he was being eaten and cut to pieces. He was still alive even though all his body is torn apart, another black stick penetrates his head. He screams even louder. I had short in bullets and supplies but I couldn't stand there only watching.
I aimed my flashlight at the dark creature. One thing for sure he wasn't human. A horrifying scream was made as he disappears into the darkness, the walls in the alley had marks of his nails on them as it starts from the ground to the top as it seems he went into the sky.
The guy bleeds as his stomach is torn apart and his mind is smashed to pieces. He speaks one word again yet this time the word barely left his tongue as he can barely speak from his torn throat. His eyes were rolling around... I pulled the black stick from his head and pulled the other one from his stomach. His eyes closed. I left the dark alley into the light.
This is the world we live in now. But never thought things will change so fast....never thought we might have hope.
