My eyes crack open to see bright green ones looming over me. Images flash in my mind. The arrow, the blood, Elijah not waking up, Klaus not moving, me calling out Hayley's name. I don't know if she heard me. The eyes are not blinking at me the luminescent green staring me down. I want to scream or shout but all that comes out is "Mnmph"
"Hope come on now," Hayley! "Out you come." The green eyes move, along with a body. It was only Hope, I breathe out a breath of relief I didn't even know I was holding. Hayley ushers Hope out the door and softly closes it behind her daughter. I close my eyes and relax, I'm safe. "Hey Cami, how're you doing?" She smiles warmly at me but her eyes remain cold.
"Whats wrong Hayley?" She looks taken back."I'm a psychiatrist...I notice things." She smiles again but starts to fiddle with her lilac top.
"It's them." Them? "All of them."
"All of who?" her face cracks and her smile drops so suddenly I wasn't sure it was even there in the first place.
"The Originals Cami." My heart rattles in its cage, I need answers.
'Wha-whats wrong with them?" Hayley grimaces. "Hayley...tell me." The door opens and Freya comes in. She's one of them though? I look at Hayley just before Freya speaks up.
"I'm not affected by it, I can't say the same for my siblings. The poison is reacting with their vampirism." My ears are clogged, surely I heard wrong.
"Poison? what poison?" I look at Freya, then Hayley. Then Freya again. "Affecting them how?"
Freya begins to explain when I start feeling faint.
"Freya, she's crashing!" Freya rushes to my side and begins chanting. My hands have gone numb. My hands! they are bloodshot. Grey skin with darker veins standing out on what used to be my pale complexion. Slowly the lines fade away. My vision goes with it.
