Klaus' pov
"Camille, Camille?" I yell. I can't hear her heartbeat. Damon leaps off me and speeds to her side, pressing his ear over her heart. He shakes his head. Theres nothing. Everything becomes a blur, a sea of mushed colours and flashes. I am standing over her in a second yelling at Bonnie. "FIX HER!, do something." My voice breaks. Bonnie looks at me with glossy eyes."I'm sorry Klaus, I don't do dark magic." I exhale quickly. I don't like this feeling, being out of control.
"How do you fix a human?" I yell, "Surely there is a natural way?! Because she is not dyi-"
"CPR!" Damon cuts in and leans over Camille, i put my arm on his shoulder to stop him.
"What are you doing?!"
"Mouth to mouth, I breathe oxygen into her lungs, it's a long shot but theres still a chance." Damon leans forward so his and Camilles lips are an inch apart. I pull him back.
"Let me, please." Damon looks suprised but backs away.
"Do it quickly!" Bonnie says. I lean forward and open Camille's mouth with my hands. Gently I lean forward and touch her lips with mine, pushing air into them as I do so. Damon starts pressing on her chest, I stare at him.
"Its to get the heart pumping." I nod and breathe into her again, this time pushing more air into her lungs. Her lips close and I have to force them open. I repeat the manoeuvre again and again until Bonnies hand brushes my shoulder.
"Klaus, it's too late." Her face is pained. My mind doesn't register what she said.
"No, I have to..." my mind goes blank and my eyes lubricate. "... keep going." I lean down and gently breathe air into her again. Nothing. I repeat. Nothing. Angry I reach into her heart, through her ribcage. I can't reach through her chest, who knows if it will heal. I pump her heart with one hand and breathe into her lungs with my lips. Then suddenly I feel a pinprick of movement in my palm. A singular beat. I breathe into her more heavily pushing more and more air into her lungs. I hear it this time aswell as feeling it, a low beat of a heart working by itself. I remove my hand from her heart and look at her pale face. Her ivory skin and red lips, suddenly I miss her smile and her airy laugh that I know she hates. How cruel I have been to be her friend. I have brought her nothing but pain and danger. She would be better off without me in her life. I push air though my lips into hers one last time and look at her eyes praying that they open. Slowly her eyes crack open. Her gorgeous green eyes.
Cami's POV
Suddenly my eyes open, they open to see a blurred face looking down at me. Slowly my eyes come into focus. Klaus. He is leaning over me with his face only inches from mine.
"Camille?" He breathes. Damon and Bonnie share a long exhale and leave the room. I look into Klaus's eyes and realise that they are glossy. Softly I nod at him, a tear goes down my cheek, as does one on his. He leans over me fully and embraces me in a hug that sends warmth over my body, unfreezing my cold limbs. He shakes ever so slightly and looks at me. Smirking ever so slightly. "I thought I lost you."
