now, don't get me started on that subject.
-no one did, what is wrong with you?-

hug yourself everytime you read k(-)pop.

so, i got into k(-)pop earlier this year, around december of 2018 and it has been one of the greatest and stupidest decisions of my life. feel free to relate.

now, k(-)pop is a genre of music i never knew existed even when psy's hit, gangam style, came out. and don't get me wrong, i'm open to almost every kind of music, if you followed me on spotify you'd understand, FOLLOW ME ON SPOTIFY. anyway, there's something about k(-)pop that put me off, as a genre alone.

firstly, we have all this sparkly stuff and the drops that reminded me of dubstep i used to listen to back in the day -for like, 5 months, i was obsessed with dubstep- and they dance and sing and rap and the members, guys. the members. they are so many!

the first k(-)pop band i listened to was bts since they started becoming so big in america and stuff. the first song i listened to was dna by bts and number one, for a week there i couldn't tell who was who -they all looked the same to me, cuss at me all you want, that's exactly what i do when people tell me the same thing now, because now i can see their fingers or their damn bellybuttons and understand who is who- and number two, it was too much as a concept.

i'm more of a rock person myself, if i had to live listening to only one genre of music for the rest of my life, as much as it kills me to say it, that would definitely be rock music. however, i listened to dna with nothing but the knowledge that they were speaking korean.

i don't really think i have a bias in bts, the person i noticed first was min yoongi and then i looked him up and it turns out we have a lot in common. next was hoseok, the living dancing sunshine. i'm literally a hoe for dancers, i can't even help it. thirdly, namjoon. amazing person, only thing i have to say, he is phenomenal. who dares offend his highness, seokjin of bangtan? taehyung's voice is so pleasing, just google him, so aesthetically pleasing. jimin, oh, i know, that's the living mochi who can snap the fuck up on stage and leave you eight months pregnant. last but not least, jungkook. jungkook is the golden maknae. the person who can dry hump air on stage but can't talk to girls even if his life was depending on it.

i haven't really mentioned k(-)pop in a while, give yourself a hug anyway.

onto the next band. that would be exo.
actually, i first listened to blackpink's boombaya, it was amazing and everything, i respect and support them with all my hypothetical heart but i just can't see myself listening to any korean girl bands. that was before i listened to red velvet. and boy was i blown away. their style was and still is more appropriate and fitting to what i am willing to listen to and they have seulgi so it didn't take much for me to just overall be borderline obsessed.

wait, that's not the band i started talking about. oh, right, exo. exo has a shitload of members and the one that i'm unconditionally in love with is suho. i'm not going to explain why, maybe at a different time. ko ko bop is one of my favorite songs of all time but i have to admit, i'm getting bad vibes from baekhyun. i have nothing to justify that but i just do. i'm sure he is a great person with a passion for what he does and very hard-working but i just don't find any interest into fangirling over him like i do with any other.

give yourself another hug because i can't bring myself to write k(-)pop, oops, i did, go ahead.

got7 and nct are pretty nice too i've listened to a couple of their songs, boss and cherry bomb by nct are some bops for me. i pump that shit everytime i get ready to go out. maybe that's the reason i like it so much, i can't get bored of it because i rarely listen to it.

that's all for k(-)pop, i think i covered everything. well almost everything, i've heard about the crazy diets and how much they practice. therefore, i strongly believe they deserve a great amount of repsect for providing us with great music videos and music. if you don't listen to k(-)pop, then give it a try, you got nothing to loose really.
