before i start commenting on that, i want to say, i totally respect that opinion. however, i feel like objecting to it. let me tell you why.

rape has been an extremely serious but utterly overlooked matter all over the world. and because it's happening that much, people don't give a shit about it. many repercussions derive from such a despicable act for the offender as well as the victim. from prison sentence to emotional trauma, every single punishment in between will mentally crash both parties whether you, and everybody else, think they deserve it or not.

positivity culture is based on a single mindset of peace, love and joy, as it was mentioned. that culture can't stand alone, during the times we live in, but with time, as a strong believer of positivity, i agree on making a global society where acceptance, patience and love are above all.

onto the tweet now. we don't need to make rapists afraid. leave alone the 'again' part. rapists we're never afraid, we all know that's true. if that weren't true, rape wouldn't exist now, at least would have such high rates of existence. and before you start asking me why and calling me irrational, let me explain myself. when a person is afraid they might get raped, one of their first priorities is to protect themselves and basically, they are forcing themselves into this constant fear of what might happen because there are rapists out there.

my question is, why should we make another human being go through what thousands of people are going through everyday? what exactly made us as heartless as a person who will rape another human being? rapists are monsters. however, that doesn't abstract the right from them to find themselves again as a good person, next time, when they're ready to be an appropriate and beneficial contributor to a loving society.

i have never been raped, all this might sound like bullshit to someone who has been. because the person who has been, all that person wants, is revenge and punishment. those same feelings, we're going through the incoherent person's mind when they raped someone. but think about this, crime shouldn't be fought with the same emotions the criminal has. then, we become the criminal.

in other, much simpler words;
DO NOT DEFEND RAPISTS. SEND THEM TO PRISON AND WHEN THEY'RE READY TO BE A DECENT FUCKING PERSON, GET THEM OUT.

i don't want people to be afraid. i want people to understand why rape is bad and don't do it because it's bad. i can't say it much simpler.
