Agasthya saw me getting into the auto rickshaw. I could see a look which was a mixture of anger and disappointment. Nevertheless, I got into the rickshaw headed towards home. The whole ride his face was haunting me like I have committed some crime.
I reached my building and asked, "How much bhaiya ?".
"Madam it is 100 rupees," The rickshaw driver said. I got out of the rickshaw and after giving him the money when I turned to go to my wing, I saw the same dark blue BMW. A pang of guilt hit me hard when I saw him. After a few moments he left and I too walked away to my house. As I entered my house I told my mom that I have already eaten something at the office and retired to bed.
As I was laying on the bed , All the things came back rushing to me. I couldn't figure out his attitude towards me and this thing was troubling the hell outta me. He has been giving me mixed signals from the beginning and now he must be upset. Actually not upset, he would be highly offended. While thinking all these things his face was flashing in front of my eyes making me feel guilty.
You know, today I realised that we put the blame on others. so that we can escape the burden of this GUILT and mind you it is not easy.
With all the thoughts I drifted off to sleep. I rolled out of my bed, early in the morning at 6. The whole night I couldn't sleep peacefully as I was thinking about how to face him. Leaving my thoughts aside, I started getting ready for the office.
Only today and tomorrow I have to work with him and after that, I will go back to my seat.
I got ready and left to go to the office after having breakfast. I hailed a taxi and headed towards the office. As the taxi was making its way from Mumbai's traffic, a sense of worry was building inside me and it was due to how will he react regarding yesterday's situation. From last night I am trying to imagine his reaction but I just couldn't settle on one and this was making me nervous and anxious.
I reached my office 1 hour early and walked towards my desk. I somehow made it to my desk with shaky strides but as soon as I kept my bag and grabbed the seat, HIS eyes met mine. I looked away immediately and decided to apologise.
Ohh ! so he is early today !!
So I went to his cabin and knocked. After hearing a come in, I went inside.
" Yes," He said in a business tone.
" Sir I am sorry for yesterday," I said in a low tone.
" Please check this file and make a report on that and get back to me as we have to make the remaining presentation," He said in a cold tone.
