18. Playing

We both were desperately gasping for breath as I pulled away from him with my eyes wide. I had forgotten to switch off the gas because of which the whole thing got burnt. I quickly switched off the gas and started throwing the burnt food in the dust bin.

Oh my goodness!!! What have I done?

"Umm ... I will be outside " I heard him say in a low tone while I switched on the exhaust fan so that the smell can go away.

After cleaning the mess we both had created, I went out to find him doing something on his phone. I cleared my throat and he stiffened. He quickly slid his phone back into his pocket and looked up. I could see his cheeks turning slightly pink as we both recalled the kitchen incident. I went and sat next to him in complete silence. So to lighten the atmosphere, I thought to tease him a little.

"Because of you, the whole food got burnt " I complained and glared at him.

" Are but- " He started saying but stopped seeing my glare.

"Don't you dare blame me?" I said and looked away because I knew I would blush if continued looking at him. When I didn't get the response, I looked at him to find him covering his mouth with his hand, It was as if he was trying to control his smile. Seeing him like that, I couldn't control myself and I burst out laughing recalling the kitchen scene. He too joined me a few seconds later as we laughed our hearts out.

" So you were teasing me ?" He asked me as our laughter died down.

" No! I was just stating the fact " I replied and smirked at him.

" But to answer your question madam, You didn't let me break the kiss when I sensed some burning smell," He said and smirked at me. Hearing this, my cheeks turned red as I realized he was indeed right. I looked away from him while he chuckled before pulling me to himself. He pulled me in such a way that we were practically hugging.

" You must be hungry right ?" I asked very softly and he separated our frames.

"Yes, I am, " He said and I looked at him where the desire was clearly visible in his eyes.

" Okay, then what do you want ?" I asked him in a gentle voice to which he smirked and pulled me to him in such a way that I was sitting in his lap now.

" How about I take it by myself," He said and started inching closer to my lips. I sensed his intention and when his lips were going to touch mine, I pushed him and ran away from him with a smile.

" YOU COME HERE " He shouted and started running after me. We were running around the whole house laughing and playing. I chucked a pillow at him when he was going to catch me and ran into the nearby room but before I could close the door, He entered.

As he started taking steps towards me I started stepping backwards. Seeing him like that made my heart race like anything and there came a point when my back touched the wall which made him smirk.

" In the process of stepping away from me, you didn't realize that you were just caging yourself more, " He said in a husky tone making me shiver but I didn't like it. He stood so close to me that I could feel his breath on my face. To be specific, the distance between us would be hardly 10 inches.

" I was not stepping away from you! I was just playing " I said but I don't why my voice came out a whisper. He was looking at me intently while I was just looking at his shirt.

" look at me !" He said softly but when I didn't listen to his request he made me look at him by cupping my face.

" I know you will not step away from me," He said and I smiled looking at him. Seeing me smile, he inched closer and placed his lips on mine. He was kissing me with passion making me smile in-between the kiss. His hands moved to my waist from my cheeks while I was playing with his hair. After a few minutes, we broke the kiss when we both were extremely breathless. He touched his forehead with mine and smiled warmly. I smiled widely and he took it as a chance to kiss me again making me smile.
