You and Brandon have been together for a long time. You started off as friends but it slowly became something more. You knew it. Brandon knew it. But nothing changed. Except your feelings for each other. In fact, every time you guys were together it felt like you were pulling away from an invisible rope connecting you two. It hurt. To not be able to be with him. To pretend like all you wanted was a friendship and nothing more.
You went to the boys house for Brandon's birthday. Another birthday to pass while you pretended everything was fine. It was supposed to be super low key this year so only you and the boys would be celebrating. You wore some sweats and one of Brandon's sweatshirts you stole. You bought him a gift card to Micheals music store since he practically lived there.
The door opened and Nicks face appeared "oh! Cassie! Hurry in be quiet!!" Stunned, you followed nick to the dining room before speaking
"What's going on nick? I know this isn't a surprise party. It better not be!!"
"Don't worry Cassie it's not we're just going to give Brandon the birthday he's always wanted." His face smirked in the dim light.
"And what is that?" You said becoming inpatient
"B's gonna get a date with someone he's always wanted one from" nick said
"Who?" You said and nick face palmed himself
"Austin" nick said rolling his eyes
"Really?!? He never told me he was g-"
"NO CASSIE ITS YOU! BRANDON HAS ALWAYS HAD A CRUSH ON YOU!!" Nick said and all the others boys came in to ssshhh him.
"W-what? Brandon likes me?!!" You said your face lighting up
"Looks like someone likes him too -perfect" nick said smirking
"I KNEW THEYD BE PERFECT TOGETHER!! Haha" Zion said whispering loudly
"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes but in reality my both out birthday wishes were coming true.
So they put me in place. They sat me at a fancy table with roses and dim lighting. It was perfect. They went to go get Brandon and tell him how I liked him as well and convince him to come eat. Which thankfully didn't take long.
Brandon approached me in some sweats and an old Beatles shirt. Thank god he wasn't dressed nice.
He smiled that glowing smile I've been in love with and sat down across from me. Smiling."So what are you smiling for?" I said but in reality I knew the answer, I was smiling for the same reason.
"Because my birthday wish came true." He said and I giggled "Cassie I wanted you to know sooner how I felt but you were so happy being friends, I didn't want to ruin any chance I had of being friends with you."
"Oh..." I said realizing what he said "in reality it was tearing away at me too. But I didn't wanna make any thing worse. I didn't wanna get turned down" I said it and I meant it. For the first time I explained my feelings to him.
"Ok. From now on no more secrets. As much as I want you to be my girlfriend we have to be best friends too. We have to be able to trust each other, deal?"
"Deal. Wait, you wanna be-"
"Boyfriend and girlfriend? Yeah I do." My heart pounded. Finally. FINALLY!
"Good were on the same page then." I smiled, he smiled back. Finally he told me what I been wanting to hear because I just couldn't wait no more ;)
