THEY KEPT IT A SECRET. Nyx was actually really grateful to both Narcissa and Draco for what they had done, and also for their secrecy. By the time Lucius had returned from the Ministry, Nyx was already back in her bedroom performing some yoga poses. Narcissa had also magically put Nyx's room back to its original neat and tidy form so when Lucius stuck his head in unannounced he didn't see anything out of the ordinary — well except for Nyx in the scorpion pose.

"You did something, didn't you?" said Lucius suspiciously.

Nyx uncurled her body and sat on the ground with her legs crossed and back straight.

"Haven't you placed enchantments on all the possible exits?" she said, not directly answering his question. Though she was a better liar than before, she still knew that a bald-faced lie would be easy for Lucius to detect.

Her diversion seemed to work because Lucius didn't pry any further.

"Well, as you know the World Cup is on its way, the first it's been in England in thirty years," Lucius began. Nyx listened while controlling her breathing. "Since — since you've behaved yourself, I suppose you could come along with us."

Nyx's calming state was instantly shattered as her eyes widened.

"You're letting me go too?"

She tried not to sound too excited, but if Nyx was allowed to go that meant she had a high chance of running into the others. Right before they'd gotten on the Hogwarts Express at the end of term, Ron had said that since his father worked at the Ministry he was always able to get tickets. Hermione and Harry would certainly be there too!

"Follow my rules, Nyx, and I won't become your enemy, it's simple as that. I know you seem to hate me, but I'm truly telling you this for your own sake: Don't go befriended the wrong sort of people." Lucius warned.

There was an idle moment where Nyx suspected that he knew something she didn't.

"Monday night, Ireland versus Bulgaria, you're agreed to come?"

Nyx smiled.

"Yes, sir. I'll be on my utmost behaviour,"

The second he was gone. Nyx smiled widely, she got to her feet and leaped onto her bed, bouncing up and down on the enormous mattress, and then squealing excitingly into her pillow. After being trapped for so long she'd finally experience some sort of freedom, even if it was only for an afternoon. The Quidditch World Cup, it was likely to be on an entirely different level than what she saw at Hogwarts.

Nyx laid down on her back and looked up at the ceiling.

"They'll all be on firebolts, probably, Lee Jordan said it was the choice broom this year." she turned onto her side and smiled softly. Her eyes caught a curled up Poppy sleeping right next to her.
