A WISE MAN ONCE SAID SOMETHING THAT COULD BE APPLIED TO NYX'S CURRENT SITUATION. He said, "asking for help isn't weak, it's a great example of how to take care of yourself." Who was this wise man? Well, it wasn't a man at all... a more accurate description for him would be a boy. This boy was non-other than the beloved cartoon character Charlie Brown.

"Charlie... who?" asked Ginny confused.

Nyx and Hermione glanced at one another, before sharing identical grins.

The manner in which Nyx was going about her suffering was all wrong. She didn't feel like she was progressing at a quick enough pace, she didn't like having to fake being happy all the time when in reality she wasn't. As a result, Nyx had decided to reach out for help, but she didn't want to put all the pressure on Hermione, so she also revealed the truth to Ginny.

"Nevermind that," Nyx shook her head. "How do you feel about ... well, every I've told you."

Ginny blinked, furrowing her eyebrows as she thought. She now knew the whole truth. She knew about Nyx's "mutation", she knew that Nyx was terrified of death (after seeing the memory of Tom killing her mother), and she knew that Nyx was the daughter of Voldemort.

"How do I feel?" Ginny repeated while gazing up at Nyx and Hermione. "Well, I'm quite tired actually—"

"Ginny, this is serious!" said Hermione.

"Is it? So Nyx's father happens to be You-Know-Who — who cares. It doesn't change anything, does it?" Ginny looked at Nyx. "You're evil all of a sudden, are you?"

"No."

"So what's the problem? If you ask me this could be used to our advantage. Just imagine how you'd be treated if people found out you were the daughter of You-Know-Who! They'd be so scared they'd probably do anything you say—" Ginny laughed.

"No!" Nyx said firmly. "Look, Ginny, I told you this because I was tired of lying to you. You've become one of my closest friends and it didn't feel right lying to you anymore. But please, I beg you, don't tell anyone else about this. I can't have this getting out — I just can't."

"But why?—"

"Why? Because I'm ashamed! Because I don't want to be permanently associated with a monster! He killed my mother, he killed Harry's parents. He caused an all-out war that brought nothing but fear and carnage to the entire wizarding (and muggle) world. If people found out—" Nyx frowned. "You don't know what it's like to have people look at you with so much fear and hatred in their eyes... I can't even get angry at him or even myself anymore without dreading that I might hurt someone again."
