SATURDAY MORNING NYX PREPARED TO SEE HER SKREWTS. Hagrid had suggested that they study them more, and so she was simply following his instructions. That day thick clouds covered the sky, and Nyx had woken up a bit later than usual because she couldn't view the sunrise. Due to this change in norm, she decided to wait for Ginny to wake up too so that could at least get breakfast together.

"Have you lost it?" a groggy and sleep Ginny said while squinting her eyes. Her fiery red mane covering the majority of her face, like a rat's nest on her head.

Nyx huffed as she quickly tied her hair back into a low ponytail and picked up her back which included some parchment, a writing quill, and her wand.

She looked over at Ginny while slipping on her boots.

"I'm going to check on the Skrewts. Willow's been a tad bit aggressive with Merlin lately. I'm worried because he's a lot smaller than she is." Nyx said. "I think she's going through a rebellious stage."

Unfortunately, Ginny had fallen back asleep in the middle of Nyx's explanation. The blonde rolled her eyes, with a sigh as she shrugged her shoulders; she was going to do this alone then. Nyx left the dorms, exited through the portrait hole and hurried down the stairs.

After having a very quick breakfast, Nyx bumped into Harry, Hermione, and Ron as she was leaving the Great Hall.

"Nyx, there are you!" said Hermione.

Nyx still hadn't told Hermione about anything. She was still in the dark about Nyx's nightmares, and that Nyx hardly slept in her bed anymore. It was like she was trying to keep it a secret, she just couldn't figure out how to tell Hermione the truth. Besides, it wouldn't be necessary once she got back to normal again.

"Have you come to see who's putting their name in the Goblet too?" asked Ron.

"Oh that's going on today, is it?" Nyx said uninterestedly. "Maybe later. I've got more important things to worry about right now."

"What could be more important right now?" Harry asked curiously. "I thought you were interested in the tournament."

"It's not the tournament itself that isn't interesting, I just don't find it pleasing to see people casually throwing their names into a death match." Nyx shrugged but then smiled. "Anyway, enjoy your breakfast, I'm off to Hagrid's to check on the Skrewts."

Nyx waved them goodbye as she walked towards the grand oak doors.

"Don't go losing any fingers!" Ron called after her.

"I'll try not to!" Nyx said back and then disappeared outside.

Nyx travelled down towards Hagrid's cabin on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Her eyes twinkled with excitement as she saw the ginormous powder-blue carriage in which the Beauxbatons students had arrived had been parked two hundred yards from Hagrid's front door.
