Alexander POV
After my flashbacks of my past, I realized that I will do anything to keep my friends and loved ones alive. They mean way too much for me, even if some of them are missing. Ahem, Thomas and Maria and Madison.
I remember how Theodosia worked at the starting place for lives. I need to know the information about if we die. Where do we go? Do we have never ending lives? What happens after we die for a second time? I decide to go to her work. Once I get to the door to the office, I'm greeted by Theo leaving.
Alexander- Theodosia!
Theodosia- Oh hey, Alex! I have seen you in a while!
Alexander- Yeah! So, why are you leaving?
Theodosia- Well, I'm leaving work to go home, silly.
Alexander- I thought you worked until five?
Theodosia- It's an hour past five, Lex. I have a date with Burr tonight.
Alexander- Oh, well have fun!
She smiles and starts to walk away. I came all this way, and I'm not going home just yet. I need answers.
Alexander- Hey, Theo?
Theodosia- Yep?
Alexander- This may seem weird, but can I talk to your boss?
She sighs and walks me through the door. Once inside, I see Thomas Paine. Is this really her boss?
Paine- Theo? Who's this?
Theodosia- This is Alexander Hamilton, sir. He wanted to talk to you.
Paine- Ah, Mr. Hamilton! Come into my office.
I say goodbye and walk into his office.
Paine- I'm so happy to finally meet you! I read your stories, you seem really talented.
Alexander- Thank you sir. But I came here to ask some questions about death.
Paine- Well, this just got awkward.
Alexander- I've seen you around High School 80 years ago. You seem like a nerd.
Paine- Yeah, well I was a huge nerd like Eliza. So what does high school have to do with death?
Alexander- Do you know how the death thing works? Like after you die and all of that?
Paine- Well, I wouldn't be the boss of this place if I didn't.
We shared a laugh.
Alexander- So, we die and we choose what realm we want, right?
Paine- Correct.
Alexander- What happens after we die for a second time?
Paine- Well.... you start the cycle over again.
Alexander- So, does that happen for the rest of time?
Paine- Like a cat, you have nine lives. Nine chances to do what you want. After that you just go to heaven.... or Hell and just live how you want. Now tell me Mr. Hamilton. Why do you ask all of these questions?
Alexander- Eliza is really sick. She has the same sickness that caught me when I was young and killed my mother. And the doctor that she may have a short amount of time left to live. And I wanted to know where she would go and if she will be safe or happy.
Paine- Well, you just have to pray, spend time with her, and take care of here. Congratulations on the engagement by the way.
Alexander- Ah, thank you. Well, thank you Paine. We should talk some more.
Paine- Yes, we should.
I stand up and walk towards the door. When I'm about to walk out, he stops me.
Paine- Hamilton, can you please send my love to Angelica for me?
Alexander- Uh... yeah sure.
I walk out. What was that about? Are they dating? I really hope so. Once I get home, I quickly grab a bowl, water, sugar, washcloths, a spoon, and an orange. Once back into Eliza's room, I see Angelica and Peggy still sitting on her bed. I set everything down on the nightstand.
Peggy- What's all that?
Alexander- This is all the stuff that healed me when I was sick.
Angelica- That's nice. Also, where have you been for the past hour?
Alexander- I was talking to Thomas Paine about what will happen if she does, you know, die. Luckily, we all nine lives. And after that, we just go to Heaven or Hell. Oh, Angelica. Paine said to send his love to you, whatever that means.
Angie blushes hard, and Peggy looks at her with a smirk. They're definitely dating.
Sorry for the short chapter. It will get better soon.
