Chapter 39

Fionna's P.O.V

I walk out of Cake to see myself standing at the beginning of the aisle. Everyone stands up and music starts to play. Cake is holding my hand while I walk down the aisle. We reach the end and Cake lets go of my hand. She stands behind me while I stand in front of Marshall. He is wearing a black tux with a red tie. There's a rose tucked in his shirt pocket. I feel tears coming up, but I hold them down.

Sheldon said," We are gathered here today in the face of this company, to join together Marshall Lee Abadeer and Fionna the Human in matrimony; which is an honourable and solemn estate and therefore is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently and soberly. Into this estate these two persons present come now to be joined. If any one can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

No one said a word.

"Please exchange your vows," Sheldon said.

"Fionna it has been an honor to meet you and to start my new life with you. Ever since I met you I feel like I'm alive again and no one has ever made me feel this way before. You're more than just some girl, you're a beautiful, smart, heroic girl that defies the laws of nature to be with me. I never felt love before I met you and now I know how love feels."

I tear up a little and say my vows," When we first met I didn't know how I felt about you. It was a mix of feelings, but now I know how I feel about you. While people ran away from you I stayed to see the real you. You're more than what people say you are. You're not a monster, you're brave, sensitive, caring, and kind. More than I can ever ask for."

Sheldon says, "Do you Marshall Lee Abadeer take Fionna the Human to be your wife - to live together after Glob's ordinance - in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"Do you Fionna the Human take Marshall Lee Abadeer to be your husband - to live together after God's ordinance - in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

We exchange our wedding rings.

"By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Marshall leans into kiss me and we passionately kiss. I hear clapping, but then I see a bright light. I pull back from our kiss and Marshall is floating in the air with a bright light surrounding him. What's going on?
