Chapter XXXXII

Pallavi's slumber breaks off as her phone rings beside her. As the alarm ring comes blaring into her ear, she realizes a heavy hand over her small frame, pinning her down. She stretches her hand to the desk, reaching for her phone, as her companion groans over the loud alarm tune. As her companion mover a little, she gets the space to slither out of his grip and reach for her phone. The moment she switches off her alarm, Rajesh pulls her back into his steel grip.
"Uff... Rajesh. Easy" Pallavi grunts as she shifts into a much more comfortable position in his arms.
"Ten minutes more. Then we can wake up" Rajesh mumbles.
"Rajesh, I don't feel like getting up today. Can you please just stay with me today?" she pleads, as she balls up into fetal position, turning her back to him.
"Hey Pallavi. Do you even have to ask. I will always be on your side. Can I hit home for couple hours to get fresh and a change of clothes or even that is prohibited" he chuckles.
"Will you judge me as clingy if I prohibit you from exiting this room till today evening?" she asks in serious tone.
Rajesh just leans in and plants a soft kiss on her cheeks and proceeds back, whispering the words "Never" in her ear, which brings a small smile in Pallavi's face.
"Actually I have wanted to do this with my wife. Just stay in the bed whole day and never exit the room. Never thought I will be doing it with my girlfriend though" he chuckles up a little in the last part, which earns him a playful smack on his hand by Pallavi. She turns towards him as they proceed to grab a couple more hours of sleep.
"Hey before I forget, I will drop a text to Tarun and Neeraj that I won't be showing up today." Rajesh opens up as he gets up, reaching for his phone in her desk.
"Did you tell them about our news?" Pallavi asks with a concern.
"Not yet honey. But I am sure, the moment I tell them, they will start fighting within themselves as to gets to be the godfather" he breaks into a laughter, infecting Pallavi too as she giggles a little.
"Pallavi don't stress too much. I told you right that Tarun has come up with a new aspect. I have given my permission for it. Neeraj will too. Tarun will fix up a meeting. Once it’s done, I will let my parents know. In the meantime, I will contact the realtor and check for houses. I will finalize a couple and we can scout them together." he tells her as he furiously types away on his phone. Looking at his determination and commitment level, Pallavi feels that she and her baby are in best hands possible. As soon as Rajesh finishes, he tosses his phone and snuggle’s up to Pallavi, encircling her in his embrace.
'Should I confess to her or not. She is shaken as such. At this moment if I tell her, she might get more anxious. But my gut instinct is telling me to confess' Rajesh contemplates as he plants a kiss on Pallavi's forehead.
"Rajesh, is something bothering you? Whatever it is, share it with me please" she pleads to him. Rajesh moves down, snuggling up her breasts, pulling her into a tighter hug.
"My father has always been the best person I have met. He has always supported me in every part of my life and also kept me motivated. All said, he never was laid back on his rules and principles. He made sure that I followed them no matter what. I am just little concerned that will I be even half as good as him?" he opens up. Smiling at his problem, she runs her finger through his hair.
"Rajesh, you will be better than your father. I know that for sure. So stop worrying" she replies.
"How come you are so sure?" he asks her, without moving.
"Because you are the calmest 24 year old I have ever seen who got his 28 year old girlfriend pregnant" she finishes.
"I just thought it was the good thing to do. Rather than running away" he chuckles on the last part.
"Yeah, as if I will let you run away" she replies back cockily.
"Oh yeah. What will you do?" he asks, moving up to her, moving a strand of hair away from her face.
"Let’s say I have got my share of crooked friends and ways" she replies back with a smirk.
"So you will find me?" he asks with his own smirk.
"Let’s say that I can find you anywhere, anytime in this city." she replies, before turning her back towards him
"So you are spying on me it seems" Rajesh concludes.
"You can jump to that conclusion' she replies.
"Then you will have to be punished" saying that, Rajesh attacks her with his wild tickling. Caught off guard, Pallavi screams in laughter, begging him to stop, in vain. Not the one to listen to other's orders, Rajesh keeps on tickling her, until her tears start falling.
"Haa...Rajesh....ha...that was cruel..ha" she answers, in between her laughs.
"Well what you did was no less" Rajesh replies, showing a fake emotion that he is hurt by her previous declaration.
"Awww...My Rajesh is hurt. I know what will cheer him up" Pallavi replies, before leaning in to plant a soft peck on his lips, which she knew will work on him anytime. True to her actions, Rajesh's facade of hurt moves away, with a smile creeping in.
"I love you Pallavi" he replies after her kiss.
"I love you too Rajesh"
With that they, they take each other in a tight embrace and sleep in.

Couple hours later, Rajesh wakes up to attend Nature call. As he comes back from the washroom, he feels his stomach growling. Knowing that she likes bagels, he writes a small note
'Gone to get some hot bagels. Will be back in 15 mins. Love you :) ;)'.
He grabs his phone and heads out the door. He hits the tea stall nearby first and gets a tea for himself. Lighting up a cigarette, he calls Neeraj regarding the stuff they are going to do today. But to his dismay, Neeraj doesn't pick up the call. So he goes for Tarun, knowing that bastard will definitely pick up, for he his always has his headphones on. Sure enough, he picks in two rings.
"Yello dude. Enjoyed the sleepover with Pallavi?" he teases him
"Very funny. I just wanted to know what is the plan for today" Rajesh brings him back on track.
"I thought you were not coming in today." Tarun answers from the other end.
"Yeah. But I just wanted to keep myself in the loop." Rajesh replies, blowing smoke and taking a sip of his black tea.
"Don't worry. Everything is going according to the usual stuff we plan." Tarun answers, assuring Rajesh.
"That's good. I will come in the evening maybe. For our 'end of the day table session' "Rajesh replies.
"Cool. And I got a presentation date for X-Musix from Mr. Akash. It’s on 19 July 2013. So we have 5 days to prep for it." Tarun announces the good news.
"Thanks dude. We will prep and rock it" Rajesh replies, before hanging up. Now with a new project in the headway, he walks to the bagel ship with a new-found enthusiasm in his heart and jump in his gait. he heads in and orders four chocolate bagels to go and runs back to the hostel with the. Silently creeping into her room, he finds Pallavi still asleep in the same position he left her. He keeps the hot bagels in the desk and snuggles into her....into her loving arms.
