"What do you guys think?" Tarun asks, proudly keeping his hands on his hip, as their first project is done completely and Tarun has taken over for final tweaking and corrections.
"Coudn't have been better man. You did it. We are going to get a good recognition from this project" Rajesh congratulates Tarun while Neeraj just claps at their progress.
"I think we can submit the project tomorrow." Rajesh suggests. "We will have to work on the contingency programs first. Don't want the client to face any problems. Moreover we don't want to face any at the time of presentation."Neeraj adds on. "Don't worry about that guys. I stayed up all night coming up with contingency programs. I have compiled them into the main program too. We shouldn't be facing any problems" Tarun adds on as he yawns big, while exiting the program. "Here you go guys. Rock it and get us some revenue" and Tarun hands them the flash drive.
"Where are you off to?" Rajesh asks, as Tarun is heading for the door with his backpack slung on his shoulder. "Dude I am going home. I need some rest. Got a date with Jenny in the evening" Tarun winks as he opens the door. "Plus you don't need me there. All possible contingencies already programmed bro." Tarun's voice trails off as he makes his way out.
"Yeah man. He did his work pretty good dude. Let him take rest" Neeraj supports Tarun as he notices Rajesh having a hint of anger in his face. Neeraj heads to the door to call up their client and inform them of the completion of the project and to get a date for presentation. Rajesh heads to his desk to make the final touches of the initial presentation prepared.
"Dude lets go. The client wants to see the project now itself" Neeraj announces as he enters their office. They both head to their clients office.
4 hours later
"That was a really good presentation up there man. We did really good" Neeraj tells as they exit the elevator to the lobby of the clients office. "Yeah man. You were also not bad. We form a good team. Pity Tarun was not there." Rajesh opens up as they exit the building and head to the nearest tea shop for a smoke and tea. As they are sipping on theri hot tea and smoking away, Neeraj gets a phone call. Though a short call, Rajesh sees Neeraj's face lit up with excitement and happiness. "They liked program a lot. They have lined up a few more projects for us. If we are successful in rocking them too, they will make us a part of their official technical team.' Neeraj exclaims as he hangs up with the call and clinks with Rajesh's cup. "We should convey this to Tarun as soon as possible dude. He will be ecstatic on hearing this' Rajesh voices up. They head back to their office to look for any new projects sent and the payment confirmation. Satisfied with their progress for the day they decide to head home and bask in their glory.
Mean while tarun is waiting in the coffee shop he and Jenny decided to meet. Jenny informed him that she will reach the coffee shop directly as she would be in an important meeting an hour ago their date-time. As Tarun waits impatiently, Jenny enters the coffee shop. Lucky for her, Tarun is sitting with his back to her. slowly she creeps up to him and places her soft palms over his eyes. "Guess who" she whispers in his ear, watching him stiff up. "My angel" Tarun answers with a big gleam in his face.
"Hi, waiting for long?" Jenny asks as she settles down on the chair opposite to him.
"I can wait an eternity for you baby"
"Baby! eternity!. Aren't you moving too fast Tarun."
"Feels right to me. I have never felt this way about any other girl."
"Other girl? How many have you dated until now?" Jenny asks, with a hint of anger in her face, as she plops down on her seat with some force.
"Not much. Do I see jealousy here huh..." Tarun teases her as he reaches to pinch her bubbly cheeks. Jenny swats his hand away playfully and looks away, pouting like a kid whose candy has been taken away.
"God!!! You look so beautiful when you pout" Tarun moves next to her and tries to pacify her with some kisses on the cheeks, which seems to be in vain.
"Go Tarun. I don't want to talk to you anymore" saying that Jenny proceeds to get up.
"Hey Jen. I was joking. I have dated just two girls before. That too I don't think you can call study sessions and night time coffee can be called dating" Tarun pacifies her, while gently stroking her hand.
"Ohh. I was joking with you too anyway. You seem to be very easily controlled. I will have to treat you with some punishments" Jenny opens up as she sits back on her seat, snuggling into Tarun's arms.
"You can control me easily. That is because I am in love with you." Tarun confesses.
Jenny jerks towards Tarun's face, bulging out her eyes, her mouth wide open, finding herself defenseless towards his sudden bomb drop. Tarun lifts her chin and closes her mouth as if nothing has happened and proceeds to give their order of coffees and some eatables.
After couple minutes, Jenny finds herself somewhat sane to talk something. "Tarun we have known each other for just two weeks. This is our third date. How can you fall in love with me so fast? You don't even know me" Jenny blurts out her insecurities and doubts without taking a breath. As soon as she finishes her sentence, she takes a huge gulp of air, to fill the void created in her lungs
"Jenny, I fell in love with you the moment I saw you in Matheran. But I didn't know how to tell you at that time. And yes, you are right that we barely know each other. But whatever is there to know, I would like to know as your boyfriend." Tarun explains and Justas he is finished, he gets down from the chair and goes on one knee, on the floor. Astonished by this action, Jenny closes her mouth with both her hands, taking in another huge gulp of air.
"So Jenny will you be my girlfriend" Tarun pops the question as he fishes out a small box from his pocket and opens it for her. Inside the box lies a single earring, with intricate works and a small blue stone hanging from it. Tears flow from Jenny's eyes, as she hurriedly nods her head. Ecstatic, Tarun takes the earring out of the box and clips it on her left ear, signifying as to the heart being on the left side. Wiping away her happy tears, Jenny plants a full passionate kiss, right in the café, in front of everybody. Though taken aback by the sudden kiss, Tarun responds to the kiss with full passion and they break away only when the waitress comes with their coffees. Straightening up, Tarun takes their drinks and places it on their table and slips a note to the waitress, so as to keep her quiet. The waitress just flashes him a smile and walks away. The next two hours are spent holding hands and giving kisses, staring into each other's eyes with intermittent talks and sips of coffee before they leave to call it a day.
