8. The unexpected kiss..

Layla walked to the beach.. tears still rolling down her cheeks..

*God.. this is so unfair.. why do you have to do this to me..* She said..

She reached the beach in few minutes.. soon she started walking towards water.. She was sad, depressed, annoyed and stressed. She didn't knew what she was doing.. She kept on walking..

"LAYLA!!" Laurent came out of nowhere and jumped in the water to save her..

Layla soon fell unconscious.. she was looking really weak and tired..  

"Layla.. wake up.." Laurent said with tears in his eyes.

Layla didn't move.. 

"LAYLA!! WAKE.UP!!" He screamed really loudly.. Soon her eyes started to flutter..

"Layla.. are you ok??" He asked concernly.

"L-Laurent.." She said in a deep voice..

"Layla.. I am here.. but why are your eyes so red?" Laurent asked.

"B-Because I wasn't able t-to sleep last n-night.." She said with salty water all over her..

"Oh god, Layla! Here.. I will help you up.." Laurent said while sticking his hand out, for Layla to grab..

"Thanks for saving me.." She said, after accepting it.

"There's no need for thank you, Layla.." Laurent said after carrying her to his car..

He helped her sit up and pumped the salty water out of her body..

"Layla.. are you ok??" He asked with his hand on her cheek.

"I am sorry, Laurent.." She said, once she got her senses back..

"What for? And what were you trying to do back there??" Laurent asked in an angry way.

"I-I don't know.. I was just gonna stay with my feet in the water for a while.. but I don't know how I ended up drowning.." She said in a frustrated tone.

"Layla.. Look, I should be the one saying sorry.. The thing I did yesterday, was terrible! I shouldn't have walked off, when you just said something really close to your heart.. So.. I am sorry" He said with lot of emotions. 

"No.. I under-" Before she could finish talking.. Laurent attached his lips to hers.. It was a really passionate kiss.. after few minutes they pulled away..

"O.M.G! That kiss was unexpected.." She said, while trying to catch her breath.

"You are a good kisser, baby girl.." Laurent said in a funny way..

She blushed. 

"I really need to go.. Mom might be waiting for me.." She said and started to walk away.. 

"I will see you tomorrow.. I hope.." She yelled and ran away.

She quickly reached her house..

"Hey girl.. You ok there?" Her mother asked from the kitchen.

"Yes mom.. I am fine.." She said while trying to breath..

"Mom.. what is the date today?" She asked, looking Leona for an answer..

"22nd of February.. why?" Her mother said, after checking her phone..

"Only 3 days left!!" Layla said in a very excited way.

"What is after 3 days, Layla?" Her mother asked, with a imaginary question mark on her face.

"MOM! Don't pretend! You know what is on 25th of February!" She said with disappointment in her voice..

"I seriously don't know.. Tell me!" She yelled in frustration.

"Mom!! It's my birthday!" She screamed.

"Oh My God!.. I am really sorry, my dear.. " She said with her brows furrowed.

"You should be!" She cried and ran away.

*I can't believe, mum forgot my birthday..* She whispered, while lying down on the bed.

She was so tired, that she eventually fell asleep (afternoon nap). 

***Evening*** 

"LAYLA! Dinner's ready!" Her mother screamed from downstairs.

"Hmm.." Layla said while rubbing her eyes.

She got freshen up and went downstairs. She was still looking really tired.

"Baby.. you still tired?" Her mother asked, keeping a hand on her shoulder.

She nodded with her eyes closed..

"Quickly have your dinner and go to sleep.. and if you still don't feel good in the morning.. you don't have to go to college.. ok?"

"Mm-hmm" She wasn't even able to speak because her body was paining.

She quickly had her dinner and went upstairs.. She jumped on her bed, to sleep again. But as soon as she was trying to sleep, she was able to imagine what happened at the beach and she blushed.

*I don't know why he did that.. But it was.. Amazing.* She thought and smiled.

*But I don't know if I can call him 'mine'..* Her smile turned into a sad face.. As soon as she was about to cry, she got a text..

'Baby Girl.. Can we meet??' 

'Now??'

'Yes.. please!'

'Ok..'

Laurent and Layla had a bit of conversation.. and now she had to go and meet him..

*Oh god.. I am soo tired!* She thought as she changed and went downstairs.

It was nearly midnight.. so she left a note there, saying where she was and why. So her mother doesn't worry, if she wakes up..

She quickly texted him asking where to meet..

'At the beach..' That message came back, really quickly.

'Ok..' She texted back and started walking.. She made sure that she doesn't make any noise, to wake her mother up..

As soon as she started walking, she suddenly felt dizzy..

She quickly took her phone out and texted Laurent..

'Hey Laurent.. I am here at the Elizabeth street.. Please come to me.. I need your help..'

'I am gonna be there in a minute, Baby Girl.. Don't worry!' He quickly texted her.

She was about to faint.. when Laurent came in time and catches her..

"Layla! What's wrong??" He asked, while shaking her..

"Baby girl.. Open your eyes!!" He cried in frustration.

"I-I don't kn-" She fainted before she could finish talking..

"BABY GIRL!!!" Laurent screamed..

He quickly took her to the hospital.. 

Dr. Jennifer Lee was her family doctor, so she was appointed to her.

"Dr Lee!! Layla fainted.. Can you please check what's wrong?? Please.. I am really worried.." Laurent said in a lot of worry.

"I will check.. but who are you?" She asked while taking Layla to her room.

"I am Laurent Knight. Layla's.. BFF.." He said..

"Ok.. So Mr Knight.. Please wait outside.. I will tell you, once I am done checking.." She said after closing the door to her room.

*God! Please make everything ok!!* He prayed.
