The Ties That Bind

Chapter 4

I was looking forward to my date with  Ava tonight.  She was so pretty.  I thought about her every day since I saw her. There was a lot about me that Ava didn't know. I would soon reveal all of it to her if we go any further.  I brushed my hair,  my teeth and took a hot shower. I laid out my outfit for tonight it was already 5:30. I poured me a Scotch and headed to the shower..

While I washed and rinsed my phone rang. I finished up and grabbed my towel and headed to the room to grab my phone. 

"Hello" I said answering the phone
"Really Tre you forgot it's your weekend to have Kasey.  " Giselle snarly said.  Giselle was my wife,  we are in the process of getting a divorce.  I love her but I just can't be with her. We have a beautiful five year old daughter together that ; in which we share joint custody of. Kasey is the reason why we are still married and we aren't sure if we even wanna legally proceed with the divorce.. I mean everything is already hashed out.  I already pay child support I have joint custody and I still see and do whatever and whomever I want to do. So does Giselle. I love the fact that we have an understanding. Which is why I married her in the first place.

"Sorry G, I forgot love. I promise I'll make it up to you two.  I'm a little busy tonight.  You know with the move and stuff,  I'm not all the way situated yet.  " I lied.. I didn't want to tell her about my date with Ava. She will ruin everything.
"Alright nigga but you are keeping her longer when you do get her to make up for this. " she stated
I agreed and hung up the phone.  I proceeded getting dressed.  I had on a champagne button up,  black slacks and my black gators.  I put on my rolex and slid in my flat earrings. Sprayed my Cologne and admired myself in the mirror.

I downed the rest of my drink and grabbed my wallet.  I hope tonight goes well.

I locked my door and headed down to Ava's place. I knocked and waited.  Knocked again and she finally answered.
She stood in front of me with a black dress that hung right off the shoulder some. She had her hair tied up and it showed her beautifully structured face.  She was gorgeous.

"Are you ready to go? " I asked her. 
She nodded and smiled yes and went on our way.

I drove us 15 minutes to this place called Amelia's. It had a wide variety of foods here and you wouldn't be disappointed.  I hopped out my truck and went to open her door and threw the valet guy my keys.  I escorted her inside.  I already rsvp this table days ago just in case she said yes.  If she didn't I just would have took Giselle or another friend. 

"You look gorgeous Ava" I said smiling at her.
"Thank you,  you look handsome also" she said.

"So how long have you been shooting? " I asked her.
"Since I was younger. It's always been a passion of mines "
"I may need you to take some photos of me sometime"
She nodded.  I could tell something was slightly bothering her a bit but I decided to not say anything.
"Well I'll tell you something about me,  I'm 32 years old,  I am a lawyer at Jackson Lewis Firm. I have stayed in the city forever and I am from Wisconsin " I decided to keep Kasey and Giselle a secret for a while until it seem like the right time to tell her.

"Wow a lawyer?" She said amazingly "you never struck me as the lawyer type. "

"Yeah I get that a lot.  I tend to keep a low profile about myself. "

"I see,  but I'm going to get straight to the point,  I was recently in a relationship about 5 years ago that crumbled me into many pieces.  Right now I am just looking date and get to know someone and if something progresses from there then that's fine well. "
She is a feisty one.  I love her stamina her attitude. It was a turn on

"I completely understand same for me as well. I hope this can turn into something more in the future but for now let's just eat".
She smiled and we ordered and ate.
